3.7K views · 3.3K reactions | Freezer apple pie filling Such a yummy & easy way to preserve apples!! Makes for quick apple desserts this autumn & winter! I did this last year and loved it so much! I personally don’t love canned thick jelly like apple pie filling, I love the texture and taste of doing my pie filling this way!! Freezer Apple pie filling: In each gallon ziploc (makes one pie or crisp) -1/3 cup sugar -1/4 cup flour -1 tsp cinnamon -3/4 tsp apple pie spice -1/4 tsp nutmeg -1/4 tsp salt -8 cups peeled, sliced apples Shake in the ziploc, lay flat, remove the air as much as you can, and stack them to freeze! They store for 4 months in the freezer. When you want to bake, pull it out of the freezer to defrost for 1 to 2 hours. Then pour it into your pie crust or your baking pan for an apple crisp! Enjoy!! 🍎 #homesteadlife #homesteading #homemaker #25k #homesteadmama #preserve #applepie #appleseason #fallseason #autumn #desserts | Jess | Our Log Homestead | Noah Kahan · You’re Gonna Go Far
