Some of the most classic, colonial style homes in this country are white brick. This style is timeless, and if done right, will never “date your home.” 2 & 3. It destroys the brick/brick needs to breathe: true and false! Any product that “seals” the brick (I’m looking at you, “brick primer”) will not allow the brick to breathe. This essentially traps moisture in the brick and will cause it to decay over time. You always want to use a mineral based paint or a brick stain.
