Here's how to make shelf sitter signs. With wood and a stencil and some paint, you can create any sign you like. It's easier than you think!

I'm going to start this project off with this piece of wood that I got from a Dollar Tree. And I'm going to use the colour vintage mustard and I am going to paint the whole block this colour. I did the front, the back, and the sides. And I just did one quick coat of this. It is chalk paint so it goes on pretty thick. Once I have it all painted and it's fully dry I'm going to sand off and distress all of these edges. And I just use my little hand sander. I'm going to start this project off with this a piece of scrap wood that I had. And it's already been stained. I was going to use it for another project but I didn't get around to it. So I'm just going to take some white paint. And I'm going to run it along the bottom. And I'm just doing this lightly. It doesn't have to be a perfect coat. Just kind of dry brushing it on there.
