I start by marinating the shrimp in sun-dried tomato oil, paprika, salt, and pepper for great flavor. 🌶️ This dish is simple, quick, and easy! I pre-boiled my orzo, so it’s ready. Once the shrimp turn pink, I remove them to keep them juicy. Then, I melt butter, add sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and a touch of red pepper for zing. Next, I pour in chicken broth and a splash of heavy cream for a creamy consistency. The aroma is amazing! 🌿 Finally, I add minced garlic and baby spinach for color and nutrition, then return the shrimp and orzo to the mix. Let it cook together for a few minutes, and you have a dish that’s sure to impress! From my heart to your plate, enjoy this delicious meal! ❤️ DOWNLOAD MY COOKBOOK (Top Of Page) 🧑‍🍳 “MARRY ME” SHRIMP AND ORZO PASTA Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes Serves: 4 INGREDIENTS: 1 lb. extra-large shrimp 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes (drained, cut into strips) 2 tbsp sun-dried tomato oil 1/2 tsp sea salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 1 tsp paprika 2 tbsp butter 4 cloves garlic (minced) 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth 1/4 cup heavy cream 8 oz. uncooked orzo 1 tsp Italian seasoning 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 2 cups baby spinach Fresh parsley and basil for garnish INSTRUCTIONS: Toss shrimp with oil, salt, pepper, and paprika. Two bags of frozen corn. I'm going to add about four small red potatoes, about a half cup of white onion, eight ounces of green chilies, Gonna top that with some fresh black pepper and we need something from the fridge. Would you grab me the heavy cream? The heavy cream? Yes, thank you. Sure can. Heavy cream. Here we go. Here it is. Heavy cream. Thank you. We need two cups of that heavy cream. Add that to our pot Now, you're going to add four cups of chicken broth. I'm using the reduced sodium kind. You're going to empty the whole container out and now, I've got a four-court crockpot and it looks like I may have misjudged how much room it has in it. Okay, barely. Whoo. We got it just barely in there. Last ingredient, some garlic powder. Give that a healthy dose of garlic powder and also Kyle, will you remind me to add garlic powder to the grocery list? Thank you. Okay, check. Now, we're going to stir that up. Hopefully, without making a mess. It's going to be interesting. And that's it. Lid goes on. We're going to cook this on high for three to four hours or on low for six to eight. Then we're going to shred the chicken. But while that's cooking it's time for the riddle of the day. What type of house weighs the least? Leave your guesses in the comments. We will let you know if you got it right. See if you can get the answer right. What type of house weighs the least? Y'all the house smells so good. I can't wait to taste this. But first we have to get the chicken shredded. So we've got our chicken. It's cooking in there and I've got a magical device that's going to help me shred the chicken. Okay? Check this out. Magically shreds all of your chicken easily. This is so much easier than having to do it with a fork and y'all saw whenever I tried it with the blender. That was a big mess we have in our hands. I definitely think this is an easier, better way. Once all of your chicken is shredded up, all you gotta do is add that back to your soup And then we just mix that up. This is going to be so delicious. Couple more things to add. Bacon. Somebody's going to get a big bite of bacon. We're just going to sprinkle that right on top. So there's some pieces of bacon inside of our soup. Now I opted for crunchy bacon. But some of y'all don't like your bacon crunchy. What do you think? Do you like it crunchy or floppy? Either way it works. What else do we have in this pot? We've got our chicken. We've got our green chilies. We've got our potatoes. We've got some cream. Go have the potatoes. All of the yummy things for a delicious hearty soup. And you know what else? We've also got? Some visitors. Because they smell bacon. Sit zero. Jax is already sitting. Good boys. They love bacon. Alright. Time to taste test. And I almost forgot I've got some fresh herbs. We've got some chives. This will definitely be a nice addition. Tell me do you all like cooking with fresh herbs or are you okay just using the dried herbs as seasoning. I have been pleasant surprised at how much the recipe is increased by the use of fresh herbs. Alright, let's get a nice scoop. We've got everything yummy in there. Get some of that juice This is my first time making chicken corn chowder. I'm very excited to try it. Are you a fan of chowder? I don't I don't think I've ever had chicken corn chowder. Alright, you get the first bite then. Alright, here we go. Kyle's the guinea pig. Hot. Hot hot. Wow. Oh, I love those green chilies. There's a nice kick with it. Good flavor. You like it? I like 'em. Alright, let me get some of the chicken, some of the potatoes, and onion. Good isn't it? It's really good. It's also very hot. So be careful. It is hot. I'll burn yourself but you know go figure. High heat for four hours might make a hot soup. Alright I want that. You want more? Yeah without baking all that. Uh. You want some chives? Okay I'm going to get all the good stuff. Right. Ready? You gotta put it in my mouth. Oh. You want the airplane sandwiches? I'm just saying you're just holding it there. Maybe I should put a feed myself. All the soup is falling out. I feel good. How is it? Is it a winner? It's a winner. What's not to love? Let me know if you want to see more crockpot recipes and specifically more soup recipes. In fact drop your suggestions in the comments. I'm going to be reading them. I'll be replying to them. And hopefully I'll be taking your suggestions and making a new recipe soon that you requested. This one was good. It was good. Don't leave out the green chilies. It's just the right amount of kick. It's not spicy. It's just flavorful. It is good. One more? Now you can have onion. Okay.
