How to make a wildlife garden
Hello little fellow! Hedgehogs are now in the red list for British mammals vulnerable to extinction. There’s lots we can do in our gardens to help. Leave a pile of leaves as a hibernation space or a little hole in the fence for them to travel. #hedgehogs are a gardener’s friend let’s work to help them help us! #hedgehog #hedgie #hedgehogsofinstagram #hedgielove
Bee-friendly plants: ivy
This ivy is literally humming with bees!! 🐝 🐝 🐝

This charming pond invites wildlife into the garden. The use of various plants and rockery around the pond creates a wonderful, natural emerging effect. #pond #pondideas #wildlife ideas

Ideas for bee-friendly gardens
An idea for helping out solitary bees. It doesn’t take much to give them a home and they make a vital contribution to the eco-system so it’s well worth thinking about doing. In Britain we have around 270 species of bee, just under 250 of which are solitary bees. As the name suggests, these bees tend not to live in colonies like bumblebees and honey bees. 🐝 Bee friendly. If you want to do your bit to help bees in your garden please, please, please don’t use herbicides 🐝
Environmental garden ideas
I like this idea for a water butt behind this greenhouse. Saving water by collecting it in a water butt is good for the planet, plants and your pocket! 😃 This place feels so tranquil.
Ideas for bee-friendly gardens
A video demonstrating some beautiful summer planting, and a greenhouse. What do you think of this garden we created? We just love planting bee-attracting plants, so this verbena is a wonderful choice.
Nettles in the garden
I’m learning to love nettles (within reason!) they’re so valuable for wildlife.
Rewilding a garden
I love the way the planting works with landscaping - this is a great idea to rewild your garden!
How to create an insect highway
May 17th 2024 is Endangered Species Day! So I figured what better day than to give inspiration for an insect's highway! Simply leaving a small part of your garden to rewild can encourage lots of wildlife. Placing a bunch of twigs or old tiles are great space for bugs and insects to create their home.

Encouraging bats into your garden
It’s International Bat Appreciation Day! By installing a bat box, you can support local bat populations by providing them with additional roosting options in areas where space is scarce. A bonus for us gardeners is that since bats primarily feed on insects, welcoming them into your garden could contribute to reducing pesky bugs during your outdoor evenings! Take a look at the @wildlifetrust website to make your own bat box https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/actions/how-build-bat-box
