"Like the cards painting the white roses red, my teacup hat is filled with roses, transitioning from white to red, hinting at the queen's shift from innocence to evil, and dripping with the blood of the innocents she beheaded. The hat was entirely handmade, starting with a carved foam base for the teacup, covered with molded buckram and wool felt. All of the rose decorations are needle felted by hand from wool roving. The roses are strung with Swarovski and crystal beads."
