I now live in a Victorian version of a quaint little Georgian house. . .as little as a massive Georgian house can be really. It has a bit of the simplicity and grace of the Georgian style, but the frilly opressiveness of the Victorian era in which it was built comes to haunt all of us, although it still is a nice touch. Here, for example, is the mega ornate doorknob on the front door. It's fun to live in a mansion, even if you only get a little piece of it.
