George Guida Sr., House - Tampa

This historic house was built by George Guida, Sr., "Mister West Tampa," at 1516 N. Renfrew Ave., near MacFarlane Park Tampa, Florida. It was built in 1951. Its curved design and outdoor kitchen reflect its optimistic mid-century modern flair, and it's among the rare houses in Tampa that have basements. It had fallen on hard times when these photos were taken in 2004, and the City of Tampa has yet to find the money or new purpose to save it. http://www.tampapix.com/guidahouse.htm
