Herragrinn mansion

The Grimmston estate is the fictional estate in which my unfinished book, Murder of Crows, is set. I have been working on this story since 2014, and last year created this Pinterest board to collect pictures that captured the look and feel of the setting. The story follows the life of Frederick Charles Herragrinn, the youngest son of the Herragrinn family. While his father was a valkyrie (in this world, that means a human-like creature with the wings and tail of a bird, eyes that glow like a cat, and magical abilities), his mother was human. His older brother, Stephen, was born a fine and healthy human, but the complications caused by Frederick being a valkyrie caused his mother to pass away while giving birth to him. Due to these complications, as well as the genetics of being a hybrid, Frederick suffers from severe health issues, both physically and mentally. Frederick and his story are the result of years of research, writing, rewriting, drawing, redrawing, and visiting old Victorian country houses so I can dramatically stare out the window onto the garden while rain gently runs down the window as if the gods themselves are mourning. This has been my passion project since I was an edgy teen acting out these characters in online roleplays; I’m glad you are enjoying this board and I hope it can inspire your own ideas, whether they be Victorian gothic fantasy dramas, or comedies about vampires, or maybe just a really nice Minecraft house.
