A derby shoe is characterised by open lacing, which means that the eyelets for the shoelaces are sewn on top of the vamp (the upper part of the boot). This type of lacing allows the boot to be adjusted for a comfortable fit and makes it easier to put on and take off than a shoe with closed lacing.

Tricker's Men's Handmade Leather Loafer
The loafer style dates back to Norway in the early 1930s. Taking inspiration from the moccasin shoes worn by native Americans in North America, and the simple slip-ons on the feet of Norwegian fishermen, the first design was born. Since then, loafers have made their presence known all over the world. They’re incredibly versatile and can be dressed up or down, making them a popular choice as they can be worn with both formal and casual outfits.
Tricker's Monkey Shoes
Although the Monkey boot was made famous during WWII as infantry shoes of the Czechoslovakian army, the design is also reminiscent of old-style boxing boots. After the Second World War, the monkey boot moved in two different directions. In the US, makers adopted the design and produced what is referred to as “roofer” style work boots in the 1950s. In the UK, various fashion/lifestyle groups chose a short version of the monkey boot as their footwear uniform, well into the 1980s.
