Cisadane basin is a large catchment area (1.100 km 2 ) that placed ini banten and west java province with sources in salak -Pangrango Mountain and have lower course in Java seas. The large catchment area and the change of land covering in Cisadane Basin make this area have high potential for flood happen. Geographic Information System (GIS) is useful for ward off the flood which this system that can mapping the sensitive flood area by get analysis the flood factor like hydrology, climate, and physical area condition. Research have done in September 2007 to March 2008 with the study area in Cisadane Basin, place in Bogor (city and regency) and Tangerang (city and regency). The tools that use is hardware (computer, printer, scanner, camera, and GPS) and software (ArcView GIS 3.3, Erdas Imagine 8.5, and Microsoft Excel 2003). The substance is rainfall data, land map, and landsat image. The method for get the data is ground truth/check and analysis the map and the flood factor. The analysis is attribute and skoring. From The Map of The sensitive flood area, there are four class sensitive flood area, that is: Safe (44881 Ha/30,19%), low risk (36574,25 Ha/24,60%), average (55317,93 Ha/37,21%), high risk (11909,5 Ha/8,01%). Lower course is the largest segment that have high risk sensitive flood class (7388,5 Ha). Upper course have largest safe class with 441621,75 Ha. This is coused by land covering in upper course is dominate by forest and crop, that forest can prevent the flood. Subdistrict that have largest high risk sensitive flood class are Kosambi (2548 Ha), Pakuhaji (2367 Ha), and Teluk Naga (1538,5 Ha).
