Aron Weller
Aron Weller received a B.A. in Psychology and Biology (minor) and an M.A. in Experimental Psychology from Bar Ilan University, and a PhD in Psychology from the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA. His postdoctoral training was at the Bourne Laboratory, Psychiatry Dept., Cornell University Medical College, and (during a sabbatical year) at the Psychiatry Dept., Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, both in New York.Since October 1989, he has been at the Psychology Department, Bar Ilan University, starting as Lecturer and from 2001 onward as Professor. He co-established undergraduate and graduate interdisciplinary programs in the Brain Sciences at Bar Ilan, and served as head of this program and as head of the University’s Interdisciplinary Studies Unit. He was Deputy Chairperson, Research Coordinator, Head of the Experimental Psychology Graduate Program and Undergraduate Studies Coordinator in the Psychology Department. On the national level, he served on the executive committees of the Israel Society for Neuroscience and the Israel Society for Biological Psychiatry (the latter as Treasurer) and is currently on the Scientific Advisory Committee of the National Institute for Psychobiology in Israel. Internationally, he was on the Board of Directors and the communication committee of the Society for the Study of Ingestive Behavior and is on the editorial boards of "Developmental Psychobiology", “Translational Neuroscience”
