In some nations it is a standard substitute for both construction and maintenance, particularly where there is a scarcity of construction aggregate. The use of recycled aggregate weakens the quality of recycled aggregate concrete which limits its application. For improving the quality of recycled coarse aggregate, various surface treatment methods such as washing the recycled aggregates with water were investigated. Strength properties of the treated and untreated coarse aggregate were compared. The results indicated that the compressive strength of recycle aggregate is found to be less than the natural aggregate. RCA has a wide range of applications, subject to appropriate test or performance results. Applications include partial replacement (up to 30% of coarse RCA) for virgin material in concrete production for non-structural work such as kerbs and gutters. One of the major challenges of our present society is the protection of environment. Some of the important elements in this respect are the reduction of the consumption of energy and natural raw materials and consumption of waste materials. These topics are getting considerable attention under sustainable development nowadays. The use of recycled aggregates from construction and demolition wastes is showing prospective application in construction as alternative to primary (natural) aggregates. It conserves natural resources and reduces the space required for the landfill disposal. The RCA can be used in Mass Concrete Construction. RCA can be used in Structural works providing high compressive strength, high tensile strength and high flexural strength with addition of admixtures. Thus it can be a better option in Concrete industry.

The effect of using silica fume as partial replacement of cement has been studied in this thesis.... more The effect of using silica fume as partial replacement of cement has been studied in this thesis. The ordinary Portland cement is one of the main ingredients used for the production of cement involves emissions of large amounts of carbon dioxide gas into the atmosphere a major contributor for green house effect and global warming hence it is inevitable either to search for another material or partly replace it by some other material. The search for any such material which can be used as an alternative or as a supplementary for cement should lead to sustainable development. Silica fume is the material which take place the cement replacing material. Silica fume is waste material which is obtained from the manufacturing process of silicon or ferrosilicon alloy. The compressive tensile and flexural strength of concrete can be determined by using silica as cement replacement material in different proportions the use of silica fume in combination with a super plasticizer is most commonly used to obtain high strength of concrete in these days.

Subsequently this software has been developed which will categorize the incoming emails in three sections. The software first retrieves. Emails sent by clients belonging to different natures. The software has been trained using Neural Network based learning algorithm using both online and off-line methods and characterization curve is proposed to obtained after training the designed Neural Network using MA TLAB software. We have also design an interface for this system using VB language. The proposed system differentiates emails into four categories. These are Reservation, Confirmation, Cancellation and Neutral. The scheme has been tested for 100 users with a success rate of 90% in normal case. The on line learning facilitates the Neural Network to recognize new words. The proposed agent is capable to satisfy its importance.

Project involves several tasks to be completed from start to the final aim of project completion. A schedule of tasks is developed in the planning phase by the project planning and scheduling team that clearly states the various project milestones and activities in detail from project start to project finish. The quality of the schedule generated from Primavera P6, one of the mostly used software for Project planning, and scheduling should confirm with industry standards as in the western countries. Lack of the knowledge of various aspects of schedule development often results in a schedule which is not understandable by the majority of people involved in the project and hence not useable. The ignorance on the part of scheduler generally results in such type of schedule which is not understandable by other people, clients working on site. So, it is an effort by the Author to demonstrate and improvise on the schedule development by highlighting various fields that are often ignored in the development of a good construction schedule. Not many comprehensive studies have been done on the significance of Activity ID and Description in mid-sized project schedules, in India [1] [6]. The Author has taken a step to explain their importance in detail.

The target of the present thesis work is to determine the strength characteristic of recycled aggregates for the application in concrete pavement construction. The scope of the thesis is to determine and compare the compressive strength, flexural strength and sulphate resistance of concrete by using different percentages of recycled aggregates. The investigation was carried out by using workability test, compressive strength test, flexural strength test and sulphate resistance test. A total of five mixes with replacement of coarse aggregates with 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% recycled coarse aggregates were studied. The water cement ratio was kept constant at 0.38. It was observed that workability of concrete was decreased with the increase in recycled aggregates in concrete. For the strength characteristics, the results showed that the strengths of recycled aggregate concrete was comparable to the strengths of natural aggregates concrete.

This is practiced through programmes to improve a location or to maintain an already attained desired standard of operation. Place management can be undertaken by private, public or voluntary organisations or a mixture of each. Despite the wide variety of place management initiatives the underlying common factor is usually a desire to maximise the effectiveness of a location for its users, whether they are residents, shoppers, tourists, investors, property developers or business owners.

The success rate has been over 80%. Again, without commercials, this would not have been possible. Thus, advertising played a crucial role in the success of Pulse Polio campaign. Advertising can also be used to generate awareness among public that which product they use and to which product they can say no. It can also be used to educate people about certain diseases or danger (example: -AIDS, TB, viral diseases, etc.). Even the backward people are now aware of many diseases and their problems. And all these credits goes to proper advertising. This paper focuses to the significant role of advertisement in different media.

Primarily concerned with understanding how environmental processes function naturally and how humans impact that natural environmental flow, environmental chemistry includes the study of water, soil, and air chemistry. Atmospheric and environmental chemists compare the natural state of these resources and determine how they are affected by human activities.

Although the basic functions of the geotextile are reasonably well understood, there are few data from field trials involving traffic loading that allows the relative improvement in performance of a road section with a geotextile to be quantified. This field test describes the performance of an unpaved-road trafficking trial at Vancouver, British Columbia (B.C.)[1]. The response to traffic loading of four test sections, each stabilized with a different geotextile, is compared with that of an unreinforced test section. Interpretation of the data addresses the development of ruts, subgrade deformations, strain in the geotextile, and the implications of the field observations for current design methods. Geotextiles are also found helpful in reducing settlement and rutting depth. For a given design condition, these improvements lead to a reduced amount of aggregate material and time required for construction and extending of the service life. Geotextile mainly provides separation between base course and subgrade. An analytical approach to the design of geotextile-reinforced unpaved roads was first introduced by Giroud and Noiray (1981)[2].
