Time is very important to continue to be monitored. Childbirth is the time cleaning the uterus, such as the menstrual period. During the recovery period lasts, the mother will undergo many changes, both physical and psychological although some are physiological, but if it is not done through the assistance of midwifery care then it is possible impending situation patologis.Banyak mothers who did not know the importance of post-natal care because the mother did not understand and do not know how theneeds that should be required in the recovery process for reproduction to the original before birth. The study was descriptive method that aims to describe post partum knowledge about basic needs during childbirth in maternity home Srikaban Binjai. The population in this study were all post-partum mothers who are at home Maternity Srikaban Binjai total of 30 respondents with the technique of sampling with accidental sampling. The results showed that the majority of post partum enough that 19 respondents (63.3%), good minority of 4 respondents (13.3%)%) and less knowledge that 7 respondents (23.3%). In the post-partum mothers are advised to adhere to the advice provided midwives useful to accelerate the healing process at the time of childbirth, the midwifeis expected to continue to provide education on basicneeds during childbirth so that mothers understand them.
