As the multi-omics sample processing operations lead at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), Carrie specializes in managing comprehensive multi-omic sample processing operations by providing user proposal/project management services to advance emergent scientific research that complies with strict safety guidelines, maintains data integrity, and promotes collaboration. Over the course of more than two decades, Carrie has gained extensive hands-on experience in the handling and management of diverse biological specimens for projects spanning the spectrum from environmental to clinical research studies. This journey has enriched her expertise in various domains, including a wide array of laboratory subject matter skills, meticulous sample and data upload tracking across numerous parallel multi-disciplinary studies, protocol development, primary point of contact for high-throughput laboratory operations, and proficiecy across all facets of sample processing for multi-omic analysis, ranging from sample storage through complex workflows to team coordination, training and mentoring.
