This small pyramid had basically the same internal layout on a smaller scale as Khufu's Great Pyramid. Wooden walkways were added to the pyramid hiding some of its features. Photos in this article were taken before the walkways were added. The article considers the possibility of a hidden chamber

Additionally, there is a beam high in the chamber north end that is not positioned over the shaft and does not seem to have a purpose. These anomalies made us wonder if something was being missed here. Than we notice a block high on the chamber north wall which could have closed and hidden a passage. This article examines the possibility there is a hidden chamber in the Maidum Pyramid.

In looking for a method we have to consider both of these conditions and a method that would work on other pyramids. Here is presented a method that fits these circumstances.

At that time the interior was rarely visited, there was no ventilation system, no lights, only old ladders inside, and of course bats. This was my description of the interior. Some years later I was Googling my name and found this article had been commented on in many countries, and even translated into Russian. I think this attention was because there was little currently written about the Bent Pyramid interior.

But in 1992-93 a road next to Khufu's Great Pyramid was removed, and there underneath were the remains of a small pyramid I have labeled GI-d. Because of its location, the structure was immediately accepted as the fourth of Khufu's subsidiary pyramids. But this newly found pyramid (GI-d) had little, actually nothing, in common with Khufu's other subsidiary pyramids but is almost a twin to Khafre's subsidiary pyramid (GII-a). The evidence points to GI-d being built during Khafre's reign.
