One of them suggests that this activity can be carried out responsibly, reducing environmental risks. On the other hand, mining is criminalized because of the damage it causes to nearby communities. It is for this reason that the Mayor of the city of Cuenca, decided to support that, in the Popular Consultation on February 4, 2018, there is a question about the prohibition of mining in three sectors: urban centers, protected areas and intangible zones. The mining center that is in conflict is Rio Blanco, located in the province of Azuay, the problem of this project is that it borders the El Cajas National Park. The company Ecuagoldmining is in charge of the extraction of this mine, but since the first of June 2018 these activities are suspended after Judge Paul Serrano is decision. The suspension is because the community of Molleturo sued the mining company for the violation of the right to prior consult...

It is known that the benefits gained are reflected positively in many aspects of the individual’s life. From this point of view, this study aimed to examine the effect of the benefits obtained by university students in their leisure on the prediction of entrepreneurship and academic hopelessness. The study group of the research consisted of a total of 457 students, 247 males and 210 females, selected by easy sampling method, and studying at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Sports Sciences. In addition to the personal information form, Leisure Benefit Scale (LBS) developed by Ho (2008) and adapted into Turkish by Akgül et al. (2018); Entrepreneurship Scale (ES) developed by Yılmaz and Sünbül (2009) and Academic Hopelessness Scale (AHS) developed by Gökalp and Soykan (2020) were used as data collection tools. The normality distribution of the dat...

The solution conformation of a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 300-320 of the rat AT 1A receptor, located in the C-terminal cytoplasmic tail and indicated by mutagenesis work to be critical for the G-protein coupling, has been investigated by circular dichroism (CD), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and restrained molecular dynamics calculations. The CD data indicate that, in acidic water, at concentration below 0.8 mM, the peptide exists in a predominantly coil structure while at higher concentration it can form helical aggregates; addition of small amounts of trifluoroethanol induces a secondary structure, mostly due to the presence of helical elements. Using NMR-derived constraints, an ensemble of conformers for the peptide has been determined by restrained molecular dynamics calculations. Analysis of the converged three-dimensional structures indicates that a significant population of them adopts an amphipathic ␣-helical conformation that, depending upon experimental conditions, presents a variable extension in the stretch Leu 6-Tyr 20. An equilibrium with nonhelical structured conformers is also observed. We suggest that the capability of the peptide to modulate its secondary structure as a function of the medium dielectric constant, as well as its ability to form helical aggregates by means of intermolecular hydrophobic interactions, can play a significant role for Gprotein activation.
