Farmers’ adoption of this technology varies and its response was influenced by the introduction process. This study aimed to determine the level of farmers response to corn-soybean intercropping technology and factors which affecting farmers response to the application of intercropping technology at Pemalang Central Java. This study using descriptive and quantitative data analysis from observation, interview and documentation. Thirty farmers as respondent were selected. In this study, analytical method was employed to determine the level of farmer response, meanwhile, regression analysis was used to determine the factors which influencing farmer response. Efforts that can be done are not only to increase maize production but also increases the cropping index as through intercropping in dry-land. This study aims to determine the production of maize intercropped with rice. The research was carried out on the farmer’s-land at Planting Season (PS-2) on April-October 2019 in Pemalang. The maize variety planted were farmers existing varieties Bisi-18 and introduced variety (Nasa-29 varieties). The rice varieties planted are Inpari-42 and Inpago-10. Corn spacing (120x30x20 cm) and rice spacing (20x20 cm). The study used a randomized block design with 4 treatments (was repeated 6 times). Calcium is an element that plays a role in determining the response of plant resistance to drought through biochemical activity. This study aims to determine the contribution of calcium in biochemical mechanisms involving various antioxidants. The treatment was arranged in factorial of 3 x 4 in a split-plot design. The first factor was calcium dosage, which consisted of 0 g (control/without calcium), 0.04 g, 0.08 g, and 0.12 g of calcium per plant. The study aims to determine the impact of organic fertilizers and rice varieties on rice yield, methane emissions, and the feasibility of farming in nutrient-poor rice fields. The study used a randomized block design in factorial with four replicates. The first factor is the type of organic fertilizers (compost of rice straw and goat manure), and the second factor is the variety of rice (Ciherang, Inpari 20, and Inpari 30). The results showed that the productivity of Inpari 20 (8.02 t·ha−1) was significantly higher than that of Inpari 30 (6.10 t·ha−1) and Ciherang (6.91 t·ha−1). Menurut laporan potensi kehilangan hasil padi karena fenomena ini diperkirakan mencapai 5-20%. Pada penggunaan jarak tanaman yang tepat dengan pemupukan berimbang, pemilihan varietas dianggap mampu bersinergi mengatasi masalah ini. Its production tends to decrease every year due to the reduction in planting areas. Meanwhile, the rainfed paddy fields land in Central Java is quite potential, thus its utilization can be used as an alternative to developing peanut. Accordingly, this study aims to find out the level of income and feasibility of peanut farming in Tegalsari Barat, Ampelgading Subdistrict, Pemalang District, Indonesia. The sampling was performed using purposive random sampling method with a total of 22 people. The level of profit could be found by using the return cost ratio (R/C ratio). The results indicated that during one planting season, the average cost was IDR 12,647,000 ha-1. The average production of peanut was 4,600 kg ha-1 wet pods with a selling price at farm level of IDR 8,500, so the average revenue was IDR 39,100,000 ha-1. Adopsi dan penggunaan varietas Inpari 30 oleh petani padi di Kabupaten Pemalang masih rendah. Sal... more Adopsi dan penggunaan varietas Inpari 30 oleh petani padi di Kabupaten Pemalang masih rendah. Salah satu faktor yang menghambat adalah kebiasaan dan kesukaan petani pada varietas tertentu. Penggunaan varietas unggul baru (VUB) merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitas sekaligus memutus rantai kerentanan hama penyakit tumbuhan yang sering menimbulkan kerugian Hal ini memerlukan analisis usaha tani untuk mengetahui peluang penggunaan varietas unggul baru (VUB) dalam meningkatkan produksi sehingga dapat menambah pendapatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan usaha tani padi VUB Inpari 30 dibanding varietas eksisting (Situ Bagendit). Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Bodeh, Kecamatan Bodeh, Kabupaten Pemalang di lahan seluas 6600 m 2 pada bulan Maret-Juli 2020. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode sampling acak sederhana, yang melibatkan seluruh petani kooperator sebanyak 17 orang melalui wawancara dan observasi langsung. Tingkat keuntungan ekonomi dapat diketahui dengan menggunakan analisis Return Cost ratio (R/C ratio). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada MT I faktor yang berpengaruh pada usaha tani adalah tingkat serangan OPT dan kerebahan karena cuaca ekstrim. Hasil analisis usaha tani menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk budidaya padi Inpari 30 sebesar Rp. 5.523.000,-dengan rerata produksi diperoleh sebesar 6.00 kg/ha. Sementara rerata biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk varietas Situ Bagendit sebesar Rp. 5.563.000,-dengan rerata produksi sebesar 5.097 kg/ha. Harga jual padi Inpari maupun Situ Bagendit di tingkat petani sebesar Rp. 3.300,-sehingga diperoleh rerata pendapatan petani Inpari 30 sebesar Rp.6.534.000 dan Situ Bagendit sebesar Rp 5.550.000. Analisis kelayakan R/C untuk usahatani padi Inpari 30 yaitu sebesar 1.18, sedangkan varietas Situ Bagendit sebesar 1.00. Usahatani padi Inpari 30 pada MT I di Desa Bodeh, Kecamatan Bodeh, Kabupaten Pemalang lebih layak untuk diusahakan (R/C > 1) dibanding varietas eksisting di musim yang sama.
