The paper aims to provide teachers with a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals, features, and methodologies of online assessment while also emphasizing the need for ongoing efforts to raise teachers' professional competence in order to ensure their successful integration into contemporary educational processes. The research sample comprises of pertinent literature that was gathered on the Google Academic and ResearchGate platforms, most of which is foreign due to the scarcity of studies on this topic in Serbia. Approximately 20 years' worth of publications have been chosen, taking into account the topic's current relevance. This paper was prepared largely with the aim of giving teachers more knowledge, influencing awareness-raising, and removing hurdles that teachers frequently have when it comes ...

The aim of this paper is a theoretical analysis of management activities with practical implications for the educational process. The democratic era has created new environments in schools, where there is an increasingly pronounced transformation of school management, which is becoming the main focus of education reform and the educational process. Based on that, there is hope that this research will make a modest contribution to shedding light on this extremely current and extremely important issue in the future.

An appropriate system of the university mentorship should be based on an adequate preparation of professors for the mentorship role. Methods: This research posed the following survey questions: What are the necessary skills that make one university professor an effective mentor from the students' point of view? How beneficial is the mentor's work for the students? Do students think that the mentorship work represents a certain challenge that university professors have to face? Results: The techniques used are the scaling technique and the instrument of gradual scale assessment SPUOM. The research was realized by means of the quantitative method and qualitative analysis of the obtained results. The obtained data were processed by the software package SPSS, the program for statistical analysis in social sciences, and were presented in the tables and graphs. Implications: The obtained results reveal students' opinion that an effective mentor should possess appropriate communication and interpersonal skills, be interested in the academic and professional advancement of their students and be able to see the signs of students' emotional and physical stress. As regards the challenging character of the mentorship, students think that mentorship presupposes a heavy workload (M=4.05), great responsibility (M=4.37), as well as a professor's full engagement (M=4.16).

The paper emphasizes the great importance of father’s involvement, analyzed effects and causes of (non)involvement. Various aspects of paternity research examined in numerous studies were selected and analyzed in order to suggest a new theoretical and methodological support, inspiration, as well as the directions for further research. The obtained results of the research proved that a variety of methodological approaches could be devised only by understanding the idea of the multidimensionality of the construct of father involvement in the upbringing of children. Some of the most popular quantitative and qualitative approaches and their techniques were highlighted and described in more detail. The paper highlights the limitations of both approaches, stating that a systemic pe...

When analyzed, the data acquired showed that socio-metric status of the students with visual disturbances was a lot worse than that of the students with normal sight. Poor-vision students more often have a lower position in their groups than the students without such problems. The data obtained speak in favor of the fact that the visual disturbances do not only affect the visual perception, but some other areas of development as well.

Besides, how their beliefs are affected from inquiry-based teaching is investigated. Case study method was used. Pre-service teachers had learned science with inquiry and how they teach science with inquiry in the science laboratory. Data were collected through the drawings and semi-structured interviews. Results indicate that most participants had teacher-centered and conceptual belief about the images of a science teacher and the science teaching at the beginning of the study. However, they had student-centered belief at the end of the study. It was remarked that three pre-service teachers who held different beliefs about student/teacher roles and the teaching of science before the study, had some common beliefs after the inquiry-based science laboratory. Based on the results, it can be said that inquiry-based science teaching positively affects pre-service teachers’ b...

The review and analysis of the literature shows changes of a behavioral, social, as well as informational and communicational character that have occurred in education for over a dozen years. Based on the literature review, the authors analyse the ways of improving didactic competences of the teacher. They indicate that the teacher equipped with the appropriate knowledge in this field not only masters the discipline more effectively but is, above all, more effective in any didactic situation. The studies also show the directions of the teacher's needs and their incompetence in some areas. They enable the development of new strategies for the teacher-student interaction and become an important element in the preparation of the content of new training programs. Increasing the quality of didactic interactions is a process of the development of a te...

The methodology dealt with by experimental and quasi-experimental pedagogy is exact and serves to establish reliable data, i.e., it searches for facts and evidence that can replace research hypotheses. A synonym for quasi-experimental pedagogy is “new pedagogy” because the evaluation of research quality in educational practice can be defined through the methodological basis of research, originality, novelty and significance. The question arises: how many quasi-experiments have been conducted so far that researchers are not even aware of, that is, they have not called this type of research by its real name? The main goal of theoretical research is to analyze the crucial differences between non-experimental, experimental and quasi-experimental research. From ...

The action research is an approach that encourages teachers to manage and control their own work. This research was conducted with the purpose of being primarily beneficial for primary and secondary school teachers. The empirical research presented in this paper was based on the factor analysis, by which the research factors were extracted, as well as on the examination of the teachers’ attitudes towards methodological education, cognition and metacognition in teaching, reflexive practice, science education and lifelong learning in the context of the action research. The method used was descriptive together with the scaling technique and the five-level Likert scale (AISE) consisting of 29 items. The research was realized in 2020, and then retested in 2021. The number of 1021 teachers from the Republic of Serbi...

Serbia is a developing country whose institutions of education are technologically underdeveloped and whose expansion in the field of digitalization is still insufficient to be on par with the developed western countries. The authors’ research goal was to determine whether potential improvement in teachers’ digital competences has occurred. The general hypothesis postulated implied a low level of the use of digital tools in schools on the territory of Serbia. The descriptive method and scaling technique were used. The research results show that science and technology teachers apply digital tools while teaching more frequently than the teachers of social sciences and humanities. The research implies that a strategic approach to Serbian teachers’ digital education is necessary even during their undergraduate studies by introducing digital technology courses and subjects in the...

For this reason, the focus of the research is on the personal and professional empowerment of reflective practitioner teachers during the SARS-CoV2 pandemic. 355 teachers from the Republic of Serbia participated. The empirical research used descriptive methods and techniques of scaling and surveying with an instrument specially constructed for the needs of this research - Questionnaire with assessment scale (RP-COV-19). The results show that the most common form of empowerment is attending online seminars, while teachers rarely attended online classes of colleagues from the school where they work and colleagues from other schools. Teachers' perceptions on the use of the Internet in the aspect of personal and professional empowerment are very positive. Teachers generally rate their training and engagement during the pandemic with th...
