Parenting plays a significant role in students‟ behaviour and discipline. This study sought to establish influence of democratic, authoritarian, indulgent and detached parenting styles shown by variation in parental control, supervision, communication, parent-child relationship on students‟ discipline in public secondary schools in Nairobi County. The study was guided by Social Learning Theory by Albert Bandura (1986) and Rational Choice Theory by George Hamas (1961). The study used ex post facto survey design. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. The target population of the study comprised of 30 public secondary schools which comprised 5 female principals, 25 male principals and 94 female teachers inclusive of deputy principals and heads of department in Narok North Sub County. A sample of 5 female principals, all 4 female deputy principals and 14 male principals were selected using stratified sampling to the study. Bartalanffy (1969) open systems advocates for head teachers to utilize management initiatives with partnerships to implement inclusive education. Descriptive survey was applied, and Chi-square tested the null hypothesis. Questionnaires were administered to 71 head teachers and 297 teachers, supplemented by document analysis. Interview was used on eight Quality Assurance Standards Officers (QASOs) and four Education Assessment Resource Centre Officers (EARCs). According to a survey conducted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC, 2010), the war against drug abuse is far from over and drug barons are so powerful and ruthless that they are able to hold at ransom any one standing in the way of their evil trade irrespective of his /her position of authority. Countries like Peru, Bolivia and Colombia have large plantations of cocaine, while opium poppy a flower like plant from which heroin is produced grows illegally in Pakistan and Afghanistan (Golden Crescent) and around Cambodia, Thailand and Laws (Golden triangle) United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC, 2013). The study adopted a descriptive survey method and employed questionnaires and interview schedules to collect data. The study sample consisted of 15 principals, 21 deputy principals, 55 class teachers and 375 students from selected schools in the County. The quantitative data from questionnaires was analysed with the aid of SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) and presented using tables, graphs and pie charts. From the principals’ interviews, research questions were analysed along thematic lines and presented using frequencies tables. The study examined the impact of brain drain on public universities in Kenya's Moi University Main Campus, which has seven schools from which a sample was drawn. Adopting a case study design, both qualitative and quantitative techniques were used to analyse the findings. Proportional stratified, random and purposive sampling techniques were adopted to make the sample all inclusive and to cater for all categories of respondents. The total population was 360 students and 120 staff members from academic and administrative divisions. Data was analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS).
