Keith F Prosser
Researcher in Biblical and Early Christianity Studies | Interdisciplinary Scholar with a Focus on History applying Data Analytical Methods
I am a dedicated scholar with a comprehensive 13-year background in Biblical studies, specializing in the life and times of Jesus Christ. My research encompasses a wide range of topics, including the complex relationships between Judea, Rome, and Parthia during the New Testament period. I have deeply explored the historical and cultural contexts of the late Roman Republic, early Roman Empire, and Parthian history, alongside ancient astrology and astronomy, particularly focusing on the "star of Bethlehem" phenomenon.
My academic journey is enriched by extensive readings in ancient civilizations, including Rome, Judea, Greece, Parthia, Egypt, and Babylonian/Assyrian astrology and astronomy. I apply data analytical methods to my historical research, allowing me to uncover new insights and patterns in ancient manuscripts and archaeological evidence. This interdisciplinary approach has been instrumental in my publication, *"Was Jesus Crucified?"* (2016), which critically examines the historical evidence surrounding the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, addressing skeptical atheist arguments and Islamic claims with a rigorous examination of data.
In addition to my historical research, I have a profound interest in the sciences, with a university background in Chemistry I have been able to follow some of the science in Origin of Life studies, and fossil records and ancient Flood accounts. My interdisciplinary expertise extends to European socio-political history since the Enlightenment and British history from Roman times to the present.
I have been privileged to receive guidance and resources from esteemed institutions such as the London School of Advanced Study, the British Library, the British Museum, and Cambridge University Library. My academic network includes collaboration with professors and experts across various disciplines, enhancing the depth and accuracy of my research.
Beyond academia, I am passionate about education. I privately tutor students in the UK at GCSE level in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science, and at 'A' level in Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science. My teaching experience includes a tenure as a Lecturer in Computing at a College of Further and Higher Education in the UK and a year teaching English as a Foreign Language in Taiwan. I hold a renewed DBS certificate and am currently pursuing a City and Guilds Level 3 Award in Education and Training, further solidifying my qualifications in educational practice.
With qualifications in Information Systems, Book-keeping, and Accounting, I manage the accountancy records for our family business. My diverse skills and interests make me a versatile researcher and educator, committed to exploring the intersections of history, science, and technology.
I look forward to connecting with fellow scholars, university professionals, and students worldwide who share a passion for historical research and interdisciplinary studies. Together, we can uncover the richness of ancient narratives and their relevance to contemporary understanding.
