Looking at the existing classifications, it is possible to say that they have different sides, as they have similarities among themselves. However, although there is no common opinion on how words should be classified, the method of these classifications intersects at common points in both traditional and modern grammar. Therefore, which criteria are used in various classifications are the subject of our study. By determining these criteria, light will be shed on the differences of classifications that differ so much from the past to the present.
In order to determine the criteria used in the classification of words, the studies that have given direction to the ones after them and the ones that have come forward have been examined within the classifications made since time immemorial. Based on this, it is determined which criteria are used.
