Traditional solutions utilize perimeter routing techniques that however lead to traffic concentration on the nodes on the hole boundary, which can make these nodes getting energy

In one end of the sandwich structure, we employed NH2-modified SiO2 coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles as a docking matrix. A so-called capture probe oligonucleotide chain, that specifically identifies the target DNA, linked to the docking magnetic particles. In the other end, other oligonucleotide chain – named detector probe – contacted with the signaling semiconductor particles. The complementary hybridization of the detector probe – target – capture probe formed the sandwich configuration that attached the fluorescent particles to the docking matrix. This configuration was used to detect DNA of Epstein-Bar virus (EBV) and as the result, a fine affinity between the luminescent intensity at 586 nm of Mn doped ZnS colloids showed with the initially added DNA target concentration, which could detect the presence of target DNA within 2×106 copies/ml (~0.3 fM). The mobility of the as-prepared solutions used in this methodology promised an attractive applicability for designing a DNA detecting fast KIT.

Their structural, electrical and gassensing properties at exposure to various gases, such as carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), methane (CH4) and ethylene (C2H4), are reported. The results of X-ray diffraction experiments show that these compounds have orthorhombic crystal structure. The substitutions of Sr2+ ion for La3+ in the A-site and Mg2+ ion for Fe3+ in the B-site in the perovskite ABO3 structure change only slightly the values of the lattice constants, but to a much larger extent electrical properties of the base material. LaFeO3 showed very good sensing performance to environmental monitoring of various gases at different operation temperatures. In addition, all LFO, LSFO and LMFO thick films were very sensitive to C2H4.

We aimed to quantify duration of maternal antibody against S. sonnei and investigate transplacental IgG transfer in a birth cohort in southern Vietnam. Over 500-paired maternal/infant plasma samples were evaluated for presence of anti-S. sonnei-O IgG and IgM. Longitudinal plasma samples allowed for the estimation of the median half-life of maternal anti-S. sonnei-O IgG, which was 43 days (95% confidence interval: 41-45 days). Additionally, half of infants lacked a detectable titer by 19 weeks of age. Lower cord titers were associated with greater increases in S. sonnei IgG over the first year of life, and the incidence of S. sonnei seroconversion was estimated to be 4/100 infant years. Maternal IgG titer, the ratio of antibody transfer, the season of birth and gestational age were significantly associated with cord titer. Maternal anti-S. sonnei-O IgG is efficiently transferred acros...

Thus, we explored the prevalence of and the risk factors for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection in these 2 areas. A population-based random sample of married women aged 15-69 years were interviewed and had a gynaecological examination in the urban district of Ho Chi Minh City and in a peri-urban district in Hanoi. HPV DNA detection was performed using a GP5؉/6؉ primermediated PCR enzyme immunoassay. A total of 922 women from Ho Chi Minh and 994 from Hanoi, for whom a Pap smear and HPV-status were available, were evaluated. HPV DNA was detected among 10.9% of women in Ho Chi Minh City and 2.0% in Hanoi (age standardized prevalence, world standard population: 10.6% and 2.3%, respectively). In the 2 areas combined, 30 different HPV types were found, the most common being HPV 16 (in 14 single and 18 multiple infections), followed by HPV 58, 18 and 56. A peak of HPV DNA detection in women younger than age 25 was found in Ho Chi Minh City (22.3%) but not in Hanoi. Major risk factors for HPV DNA detection were indicators of sexual habits, most notably the presence of HSV-2 antibodies, nulliparity and the current use of oral contraceptives. Women in Hanoi showed the lowest HPV prevalence ever reported so far, suggesting that HPV has not spread widely in this population. As expected, HPV prevalence in a population seemed to be closely correlated with ICC incidence rates.

On rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis), the earliest detailed report on the occurrence of the disease caused by C. cassiicola was from India in 1958, followed by A total of 38 isolates of Corynespora cassiicola collected from rubber trees and other hosts including papaya (Papaya carica), Ecdysanthera rosea, wild mango (Irvingia malayana), white pumpkin (Benincasa cerifera) and sesame (Sesamum indicum) from different regions of Vietnam were studied for genetic diversity analysis using ribosomal DNA internal transcribed spacer (rDNA ITS) sequencing and inter simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers. A single nucleotide polymorphism at the 135 th base (Cytosine/Thymine) of the rDNA-ITS regions differentiated 38 studied isolates into two groups. Meanwhile, 88 DNA bands amplified by eight ISSR primers also generated a phylogenetic tree which clustered the studied isol...
