The economic contribution and empowerment of women are pertinent to strengthen female’s rights andenable them have control on their lives and influence the society. Sustainable development can be achieved through economic empowerment of women. Empowered women and gender equality lead in multiplying the development efforts. Under the SDG-5, India has stated that it will ensure women and girls contribute as equivalent partners to growth and development of the country by 2030. At the global level too, it has been observed that if women participate equally with men in the economic activity, the world will add $11 trillion in the annual 2025 GDP. Investing on education and skill enhancement through Vocation education and training. has been a pertinent issue for the Indian government for the last decade. The current paper identifies the constructs of women...

Both contemporary sets are not suitable to deal with all type of uncertain parameters. In this paper the hybridization of soft with extended fuzzy set information measures are derived. Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy soft set theory is a powerful tool for dealing with uncertainty of knowledge in information systems. In this paper, firstly some distance and similarity measures for interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy soft sets were proposed. Further, some new entropy measures are also introduced by using the similarity measures. The validity of these measures is also proved. Applications of the distance measures is also used in the field of multi attribute decision making and medical diagnosis. The proposed measures are also compared with an existing measure to prove its significance.

In the current times when there exits opportunities galore for qualified faculty, the institutions’ have to understand the importance of faculty satisfaction and also comprehend the various factors which affect satisfaction so as to ensure better performance and retention too. Four factors were identified for the study- work environment, compensation, training and development and role of HOD. It has been observed that training and development has been ranked as the major factor for the faculty intending to stay in an institution. In addition the paper attempts to understand the significance of the parameters and their relationship with each other.

In this paper, using the relation between information measures, some measures are proposed for the fuzzy rough set. Firstly, an entropy measure is derived using the fuzzy rough similarity measure, and then corresponding to this entropy measure, some other measures like mutual information measure, joint entropy measure, and conditional entropy measure are also proposed. Some properties of these measures are also studied. Later, the proposed measure is compared with some existing measures to prove its efficiency. Further, the proposed measures are applied to pattern recognition, medical diagnoses, and a real-life d...

The proposed measure is a generalisation of the entropy given by De Luca and Termini (1972). It has been used to determine weights of both experts and attributes in intuitionistic fuzzy environment using decision matrices in multi-attributes decision-making problem with unknown weights. Further, weighted correlation coefficient is defined using the proposed entropy measure and correlation coefficients between alternatives and ideal point are determined. The value of correlation coefficient is used to rank the alternative and the alternative with greatest weighted correlation coefficient is selected as an optimal solution. Finally, an illustrative example describes its application on multi-attributes decision-making problem with undefined weights.

In this paper a new divergence measure and corresponding fuzzy directed divergence measure have been proposed. Comparative study of the proposed divergence measure with some existing divergence measure has been done with the help of numerical example. Further, the application of proposed fuzzy directed divergence is illustrated in decision making problems.

Globalisation aided the entry of foreign companies. But, most of the companies have started facing the problems of high employee turnover and there exists a dearth of talented and experienced workforce. In the current times when there exits opportunities galore for dedicated employees, the industry has to understand the importance of employee satisfaction and also comprehend the various factors which affect satisfaction in the this sector so as to ensure better performance and retention too. Five factors were identified for the study- Organizational Culture, Motivational Factors, Development opportunity, Employee Facility and Work Environment . It has been observed that Motivational Factors has been ranked as the major factor for the intending to stay in an organization.

Analogous to information theory which is founded on probability theory, notion of fuzzy sets was established by Zadeh in 1965 which is a mechanism to manage uncertainty. The pedestal for present study is information theory with intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Atanassov (1986) devised Intuitionistic fuzzy sets which is an expedient devise to deal vagueness and uncertainty. In present study, we extended the fuzzy entropy proved by Gupta et al.(2014) and then generalized it for intuitionistic fuzzy sets with axiomatic justi cation and presented importance of parameter α . Further, some properties of this measure are analyzed and the performance of proposed entropy measure at di erent values of α on the basis of linguistic variables is compared with the help of a numerical example.

Fuzzy sets and its various generalizations are tools that can measure uncertainty and vagueness in a better way. In this communication we have derived cosine similarity measures that can determine similarity between two fuzzy sets or between two intuitionistic fuzzy sets or between two interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Further, we have applied it to diagnose a disease on the basis of similarity between symptoms and a pattern.

Imparting skill-based industry-oriented teaching can bridge the skill gaps and enhance employment opportunities for students. In this context, Government of India has introduced numerous programs to provide a fillip to technical vocational education and training. The current paper is aimed at understanding the role of vocational education and the change it brings to skill development and employability of the students. A combination of both qualitative and quantitative research methods was deployed for the study. In the quantitative design a multi-stage sampling process comprising of both probabilistic and non-probabilistic methods was employed. A sample of 586 students pursuing retail vocational education was identified and administered with the questionnaire. The statistical analysis presented the socio-economic profiles. Further, five factors for skill d...

Entropy is indispensable for measuring ambiguity, first familiarized by Shannon (Syst Tech J 27:379–423, 1948) to extent the degree of uncertainty in likelihood distributions. Complex info processes are extensively pragmatic in decision-making processes. Created as per the notion of an exponential exponent for the fuzzy set, our exertion offers a measure of the power of an intuitive set of exponents. This article identifies a new measure of the exponential theorem on an intuitive set of equations. In addition, the necessary properties are displayed. By analyzing the results of the examples, it has been shown that this method is faster and more effective in practice.

Entropy, similarity, distance, inclusion, and cross entropy measures are a few methods used for measuring uncertainty and classifying fuzzy sets and its generalizations. Entropy of a fuzzy set describes fuzziness degree of the set and similarity measure measures similarity between two fuzzy or members of its extended family. This paper presents generalized entropy and similarity measures for interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Further, the proposed similarity measure is compared with some existing measure of similarity with the help of an illustrative example, and a method is used to define optimal point using the existing information. Finally, entropy and similarity measures are used to identify best alternatives to solve multi-attribute decision making.

A worker who is locked in has a hopeful disposition towards its association and qualities. This paper tries to decide the idea of employee engagement, its arrangements being trailed by the organisations, investigating them, taking perspectives of representatives, examining the criticisms got and giving suggestions for development. The paper applies exploratory factor analysis to contemplate representative commitment by means of statistic factors. The essential information was gathered through the Survey Questionnaire Method. This paper implies the ways to deal with worker commitment that have been demonstrated to enhance profitability and in addition effectiveness, keep up clients at a higher rate, lessen staff turnover and accomplish more benefits. Representatives who are locked in are more joyful...
