APPLIED ENTREPRENEURSHIP: A CASE STUDY ON A UNIFORM VOCATIONAL APPROACH TO TEACHING AND LEARNING ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The purpose of this paper is to examine ways entrepreneurship is taught and learned across all le... more The purpose of this paper is to examine ways entrepreneurship is taught and learned across all levels and all industries academically or commercially in a uniform, systematic, and applied way worldwide. The case study included a pilot one-year incubation program, which successfully guided eight multi-industry startups for 12 multi-cultural participants. The results were compared to two independently conducted worldwide surveys, gathering data about incubation and acceleration landscape and challenges (20 respondents) and the general potential market interest in a program, similar to the pilot study (547 respondents). The study contains the pedagogical and the managerial approach to startups and entrepreneurship, thus it can be identified as interdisciplinary.

Thus, the proposed archetypes, responsible for the internal and external culture clashes, are the Intellectual, the Merchant, and the Patriarch. The secondary purpose of this article is to draw an analogy between the happenings of the Greek government-debt crisis and the current chaos of coronavirus era and offer several lessons that may help to change the course of the history, or at least individual perception of it.

The paper discusses various psychological aspects and frameworks that may be at the foundation of this syndrome and what businesses can expect as a result of it.

Disposable Ventures: Globalization Approach To Entry-Level Startups

The purpose of this paper is to explore in depth current challenges in the process of creating a ... more The purpose of this paper is to explore in depth current challenges in the process of creating a global startup and to suggest a hypothesis that if there were uniform startup tools, such as legal structure, a set of restrictions, a payment method, and oversight governance, which would be accepted and agreed upon by various countries, it can be possible to have a universal way of starting a startup. As a solution to global startup challenges and as an outcome of a hypothesis, it is proposed to create a temporary legal container, Disposable Venture (DV), designed for the startup stages between the development of the idea until it is fully tested by the market. The DV is disposed of after 3 years of usage or converted into a legal entity of the founder’s choice in the country of the startup residence. To make the DV a success, the startup will need to comply with a set of restrictions, process all transactions using virtual currency, and conform to the guidance of the Disposable Ventures Oversight Board. There are various benefits and disadvantages associated with the creation of the Disposable Venture, but the main limitation in implementing an experimentation process is to engage top global authorities in supporting a cause. Since global initiatives, directed at betterment of the world on multiple subjects, including entrepreneurship, albeit indirectly, have a history of limited successes, it is proposed to place the DVOB under the United Nations supervision. In addition, it is recommended to raise the awareness of global entrepreneurs through surveys, social media campaigns, and digital petition platforms to attract the attention of power makers around the world.

It then proposes an alternative solution for a classroom environment, where all individuals, regardless of learning disability types, feel like a cohesive group. The projected Learning Ability Classroom explores the potentials of integration of a vast variety of tools, known to aid with most common learning disabilities, as well as other psychological and teaching tools used in non-academic industries, and will present the suggestions in eight major sectors of a classroom learning: leadership approach, time allocation, room layout, discipline, resources, exercises, tests and projects, and homework types and submissions. Finally, it discusses non-formal research, conducted in as a physical experiment of setting up Learning Ability Classrooms in business schools for undergraduate and graduate international cohorts.
