Not only a philosophical debate among pundits, but also a topic affecting everyday life with levity and rigor often without any sort of academic background letting people develop it differently from mere chats. The choice of this topic dates back to a debate among friends upon someone no one has actually seen so far, thus issuing different opinions shifting from reality to fiction, from reason to heart and soul. Those friends shared a deep love for wisdom, philosophy to be more precise, that is why their opinions about that topic were by no means permeated by their beliefs and approaches to spiritual life. A whole lot of things which cannot be explained by means of simple words, too.

The discovery of America on October 12, 1492 by Christopher Columbus and his crew on the three caravels marked the rise of colonial empires everywhere. The Elizabethan Age enhanced the quality of those travel books hugely as they were issued by learned people caring about what they wrote and how they wrote it. Gilbert and Hakluyt contributed to the rise of the British empire with their detailed reports about what they had found out of Europe, just like Mark Pole, Magellan, Pizarro and Còrtes before them. Those diaries are part of Anglophone literature and are still being analyzed today because of their simple but efficacious form describing exotic locations very far from their idea of civilization so far.

Focusing on darkness instead of light may refer to dark fantasy horror movies such as Return to Oz (1985), dark ladies such as Sheila Carter in the CBS soap operas The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, dark comedies reminding people of Gothic trends as well as miracle, mystery and morality plays. Sheila has two completely different personalities within her, one sunny and one destructive, wishing to destroy the world before the world destroys her once forever. The alternation of light and dark makes her unique due to Kimberlin Brown's dramatic talent whose gesture, facial mimicry and diction issue high quality performances. Anthony Hopkins and Klaus Kinski work similarly to get unforgettable characters such as Hannibal Lecter, Fitzcarraldo, Aguirre and Nosferatu with their intense performance style. That is why their characterizations marked the history of the motion picture industry as well as common imagination.

The title of the paper refers to the close tie between two similar jobs performed by professionals in both cases, that is why two verbs are being used to express them. The question paves the way to a deep reflection about the role of persons responsible for everything and everyone, high quality products and motivated people for instance. Whenever being responsible for the outcome of formats, professionals work hard around them in order to get the best from each singular member of their staff.

Talking about the evolution of republics everywhere is not a child's game as changes are endless ... more Talking about the evolution of republics everywhere is not a child's game as changes are endless due to civil wars and turmoils going against democracies guaranteeing freedom of speech, action, movement and thought everywhere, but that constitutional form of state survives till the present day despite time passing and negative events. In all the five continents there are different views about the republic and what it means due to economic, political and social changes taking place during the centuries. Anyway, the evolution of this ancient but still magmatic institution has not ended yet despite the fact that some countries preferred it to monarchy or vice versa recently, Nepal and Cambodia respectively. Even monarchies choose a republic-like structure for their former empires, e.g. Commonwealth realms, keeping contacts alive by means of deep exchanges among all its members. They are independent countries joining the free association of former colonies, as well as completely or partially autonomous dominions or colonies formally under the British crown represented by Governors General.

Giving a logical order or a rational explanation to what happened in the nineteenth century is not an easy task as the rise of the new trend dates back to the mists of time. The title of this paper focuses on the relationship between a theoretical concept and a literary trend taking place in France and paving the way to the renovation of poetry after the Baroque experimentation. Baudelaire, Verlaine, Rimbaud, Mallarmé and other cursed poets are still being deepened everywhere in the world due to the uniqueness of their forms and contents different writers and lyricists get inspiration from nowadays. Their success in the contemporary era dates back to the mythical halo of mystery and charm surrounding their production, what it actually evokes and suggests to human minds. It is not a wise fusion among brilliant artistry, business acumen and connections, a best seller to be precise since it works on the creative side only, not on the business side, too, and poetry, just like drama, never had any marketing and business purposes compared to fiction.

A SEMIOTIC INTERPRETATION OF THE BIBLE Scripture has always been a powerful source of inspiration... more A SEMIOTIC INTERPRETATION OF THE BIBLE Scripture has always been a powerful source of inspiration and feelings to artists, intellectuals, scientists and politicians, a driving force behind works of art and discoveries, an active force forging conscientiousness. It is one of the pillars of universal culture, but its academic luck dates back to the Middle Ages. The new belief based on Christ's teachings goes in parallel with the general development of human mankind since studies around it began when exegesis (interpretation) got fame in key contexts such as monasteries and courts. Once translated from Aramaic and Old Greek into Latin by Saint Jerome, it became the main goal of some interpretations by those scholars focusing on meanings and their multiple evolutions during the years. One of them is by no means Saint Augustine, the first pundit to talk about semiotics openly as referred to Scripture. That is why his essays turn out to be a good starting point to make readers understand the real meaning of the Bible.

Fiction always worked this way so as to get as many people as possible, selling millions of copies and earning a positive critique on specialized press. Its evolution from long poems to novels passes through short stories, screen and stage plays, aiming at storytelling as it was in the past. This is the main purpose of fiction, along with the linguistic and lexical improvement of those who are not acquainted with that register yet. That is why reading skills must go in parallel with listening, speaking and writing skills in order to be successful someday and achieve all its goals in a short period of time. Critics wonder about its future destiny since the massive usage of new technologies turns out to be the driving force of the publishing market somehow. Modern fiction passes through multimedia products, too.

They do focus on the close tie between entertainment and culture, the two sides of the same coin, the collarbone of entire populations, the true essence of existence in different countries. That is why literary and artistic expressions pursue it to both entertain their audiences as Dickens and Kelly did with their public readings, and explore the multiple nuances genres do offer them. The former was a journalist with strong communicative skills letting him exploit his works of art wisely, whereas the latter was an actress whose facial mimicry, gesture and diction had always marked her stage and screen performances. What actually lies behind their activities has a theatrical connotation, deriving from perusal and other educational strategies followed by them in their juvenile years, or what they had experienced on their skin in their adulthood. That is why even amateur performers can find their ideal means of expression without the help of professionals, perhaps ignoring the presence of cameras and focusing on the way people do believe in their shows. Seen from their perspective, people are very attentive, observe everything carefully and then explode, and it is very hard to keep tears back since they are emotional, touching and, why not, unique moments.

The two sides of the same coin, that is, the human heart and soul, the real driving force of existence. The title of this paper can be interpreted this way since it refers to a theme shifting from culture to entertainment till reaching science and its multiple nuances. Artists, intellectuals and scientists tried to provide people with their ideas of it, something going beyond any logical order they may happen to perceive in the air. A still unsolved conflict despite the triumph of rationalism over instincts, but even the presence of rules and law within all societies has not solved anything yet. Its denial is by no means wrong, that is why its multiple expressions are noteworthy works of art despite the fact that another conflict, among atheists and believers, is still present on earth. And the aim of this paper is showing how these positions can never find a good compromise among differences and similarities, maybe drawing inspiration from what surrounds them all the time.

And an icon of acting techniques like her can only add a touch of class and refined elegance to writing activities, and her works are by no means affected by it, too. Since she published a memoir and a novel respectively, her literary experiences can be analyzed under a different light. Her transparent style shines for simplicity and shortness as well as a careful choice of words actually expressing what she feels inside herself while writing, close to psychological introspection of thoughts typical of Modernism and avant gardes. Since Paris has always been a key cultural center, a referring point to everyone, it turns out to be the ideal starting point of high quality products marking both the artistic and literary trends very much. Simone did not embody at all the fusion between brilliant artistry and business acumen since she mirrored pure art in her own performances. The young keep studying them all to improve their acting skills and become stars just like her, but the careful choice of scripts and directors goes in parallel with a deep reflection upon themselves.

Pupils learn more about foreign idioms (English, Spanish and French mainly), history of diplomacy, ecclesiastical diplomacy, canon law and diplomatic style to succeed in all those operations typical of embassies and consulates, negotiations leading to key agreements for instance. Being an apostolic visitor, delegate or nuncio means representing the Holy See abroad, dealing with religious and social issues in particular, that is why an apostolic nunciature is always a privileged place for key concordats. Papacy always cultivated its diplomacy during the years, turning out to be a strategic center for key decisions concerning the future of the entire world. Some popes of the Catholic church come from diplomacy and already know how to run their country. This paper briefly focuses on them, providing readers with some information upon who marked an epoch with their actions. Their choice goes in parallel with schemes summarizing their diplomatic career shortly, followed by the main events seeing them as the main characters of.
