However, the current study is an endeavor to study the textuality communication between parents and their children in an English movie which is "Wonder" by adopting Robert De Beaugrande's and Wolfgang U. Dressler's 1981 Seven Standards of Textuality. The main goal of the study is to examine the applicability of these standards to such a type of spoken sample which is movie communication as the previous studies focused only on the written ones. Finally, the study shows that textuality is the main means of the text-processing since the seven standards of textuality are handled through data analysis. In terms of seven standards found in selected movies, it is displayed that all standards are found and explored when cohesion, coherence and intertexuality top the list of the most frequent occurrences whereas informativity standard is less frequent one.

Prepositions are the core of one of these interference marks. Thus, grammatical prepositions do not use the same rule for each language. Iraqi EFL students based on their native language for translation before producing English language patterns. English language in Iraq is considered a second language. Cognitive linguistics shows a better account while learning English prepositions than traditional methods while acquiring a second language since meaning is crucial in recognizing the correct preposition. This research paper attempts to draw attention to the importance of prepositions' various functions and develop the ability of the students to use prepositions and on correctly in different contexts. This paper is devoted to testing the validity of the following hypotheses: It is hypothesized that using prepositions correctly is difficult for foreign learners. It is assumed that most learners are familiar with the uses of the preposition in rather than the preposition on. This study is restricted to identifying the functions of prepositions in and on producing their uses separately. Moreover, the practical part is restricted to examining the ability to use the correct preposition of a group of (20) students in different stages in Open Collage of Education/ Center of Najaf. Finally, the test results showed that cognitive linguistics has an important role and significant effectiveness. Cognitive linguistics shows a better account while learning English prepositions than traditional methods while acquiring a second language since meaning is crucial in recognizing the correct preposition. It is a significant way to clarify the meaning.

Technology has become more integrated into classroom activities as electronic resources in education has increased. The most successful and engaging English courses for ambitious students are those that offer technical assistance. Accordingly, this article aims to show the role of integrating technology in educational institutions. The current research is based on a review of 10 studies examining gender differences in utilizing technology to learn languages. The emphasis of the study is research undertaken between 2015 and 2020. Therefore, the investigation starts with the most recent study (i.e., conducted in 2020) and proceeds backward (i.e., published in 2015). As a result, we can draw the following conclusions about the role of technology in language classrooms: it facilitates teacher-student collaboration, provides students with easily understandable feedback and performance, helps students develop their critical thinking skills, makes learning and teaching more student-centered, builds students' autonomy and confidence, and increases their motivation to learn.

The current study is concerned with personal references employed in the discourse in order to be able to refer to them anaphorically. It attempts to study the nature of Reference in Arabic as a semantic concept. Moreover, it displays the references mostly used by Iraqi people in everyday communication and the anaphoric personal references used by them. Analyzing the daily Iraqi social speech on YouTube shows different points that are shown as follows: (a) personal preferences are the most predominant cohesive category employed, and they yielded the highest percentage within all instances of analysis. (b) third and second-person pronouns rank as the lowest in most occurrences within the samples. (c) Other types of anaphoric references, such as demonstrative, are used less or should be utilized more.
Communication refers to the process of transmitting messages between at least two communicators. ... more Communication refers to the process of transmitting messages between at least two communicators. Communication involves both linguistic facts like produced sentences and non-linguistic facts including meaning and condition. In order to have a successful conversation, the mentioned elements should work together with the communicators' information. as a matter of fact, people communicate their emotions and feelings because communication reflects an intimate exchange between them. Therefore, many pragmatic theories believe that individuals have advanced expertise that lead them to choose those terms in various circumstances through their conversations. Accordingly, this study aims to apply Grice's Cooperative Principle which represents an important theory in this discipline in a political interview of Donald Trump's Interview with TIME on 2020. The statistical findings mirrors that the four maxims including quantity, relevance, quality and manner maxims are flouted by the president respectively. It is concluded that the main aim behind the flouting of maxims is to attract the intention of the listeners to the significance of the utterances that are not explicitly stated in the words uttered.
