The Alpavirama South Asian Short and Documentary Film Festival is a four-day film festival organised by the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. The first version of the festival was held in Ahmedabad, India, in the year 2011. The second edition will take place between September 18–21, 2014.[1]

About

Alpavirama focuses on short films from young filmmakers from the SAARC countries of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Competition

The Competition will be open to short fiction & documentary films, between 3–30 minutes; produced after 1 July 2012; directed by a young person (under 30 years) who is a citizen of & ordinarily resident in any of the SAARC countries, namely Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Last date for submitting completed entry form: 14 July 2014.
