The Calico pennant or Elisa pennant (Celithemis elisa) is a dragonfly found in North America, in the Pennant genus of dragonflies.
Flight period is late May to early August. Its average length is 1.2 in (3.0 cm).[1] Males have red heart-shaped markings on the dorsal side of the abdomen that is yellow in the females. Their wings have three red areas: one at the tip, one in the middle, and one large area close to the body.
