This image is a faithful digitization of a pinup poster of Farrah Fawcett. It is a historically significant image, being a world famous iconic image from the 1970s—the best-selling pinup poster of all time, with more than 12 million copies sold.^{[citation needed]}

This particular digitization of the image was captured from http://beta.images.theglobeandmail.com/archive/00024/Farrah_Fawcett_po_24263gm-b.jpg; the original poster was created at a photo shoot held in 1976 by Bruce McBroom of Pro Arts Inc., and first published in Life magazine in 1976.
