The 750,000 square foot (70,000 m2) complex was constructed between 1893 and the 1950s; the distinctive front tower was built by 1924 to house a massive water tank in case of a fire. The building now houses over 30 small businesses. Having been exposed to a number of Wurlitzer instruments, I was very happy to be able to see this building while visiting a friend.
