John Sargent Pillsbury, Jr. (1912–2005) was an American attorney and insurance executive.[1] Educated at Yale University and the University of Minnesota Law School, Pillsbury practiced law in Minnesota and became president of Northwestern National Life Insurance Company. He then ran for the office of Governor of Minnesota in 1966, but was defeated by Harold LeVander in the Republican primary.[2] He also chaired the board of the Minnesota Orchestra, and served on the boards of the University of Minnesota Foundation and Twin Cities Public Television.[3]
