National Highway 7A is located in India connecting Palayamkottai in Tirunelveli with port city Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu. The distance between these cites is 51 km (32 mi).
47.20 km (29.33 mi) of this road is being widened as a 4 lane highway as part of the NHAI's National Highway Development Project (NHDP).[1] The project started on February 2004 by Mecon-GEA Energy System (I) Ltd (JV) was expected to be completed by Dec 2009.[2]
