As anyone who has seen Megan's post will know, she and I met in college thanks to both signing up for the same Freshman history course and then assigned to the same group effort for a research project. Turned out, we were from the same little nowhere town, we had a lot of the same interests and, well, she was just a fun chick to hang with. The rest, barring twenty-odd years and each of us dating other folks for much of that time, is history, as they say. She's still just as beautiful as she was back then, and she has only gotten more fun to hang with since!
*Hypno eyes* You will ignore the fact we didn't have fancy tablets like that in 1997. Or wi-fi. (Not at our university, anyway. They had dial-up only 'til 2000!)
Not only is the illustration itself amazing and well-made, the origin story of how you two met is nothing short of remarkable!!! Thank goodness for getting assigned to the same Freshman history course research project! I love reading such kind, compassionate back-stories about us in general, not just our fursonas but the users behind the OCs. ❤️ I can see how this piece holds such special personal significance as a direct result! The collaborative efforts of both artists truly shines bright with this work of art. I love how chillaxed they are! Grace & Megan are literally one of my very favorite furry couples, so straight-up awesome. Maybe the pink tablet could double-up as a fancy sketch pad with tiny calculator buttons? ;)
Thanks for sharing and have a fine day with an even better weekend!! 😊

I'm still amazed at how lucky we got to meet that way. And to still be so close - and closer! - all these years later.
Aw, and thank you so very much! I'm so happy you like the story of how we met, and that you're fond of our girls, too. The art turned out great, I absolutely agree, and it's such a cute scene. And I hope you had/are having a wonderful weekend, too!

*sings in Edith Bunker voice* Those were the dayyys! Hee! Makes me wish I would have gone to college, but instead I went to an agraric college-type school to learn how to be a garden designer and lateron to be a houseplant grower, and by '97 I had already been kicked out of there for a couple of years, hee! Oldcat is ollllld, hee!
Either way, it's such a wonderful little story and it's so good to see you two have already had such a great time for so many years together and are still enjoying one another so much. So here is to many, many more happy years together, dear! >^_^< And also, happy early birfday and all that!

I wish you could've gone to college, too. I know we had a blast, and while there are certainly things I wish I'd done differently, I'm very glad I got to go. Your school sounds interesting, though! Garden desgin and gardening/plant health sounds fascinating and it's one of those fields that will always be relevant. A shame that, from the sound of things, it didn't work out so well, but I hope you at least had fun while you were there!
And thank you so much, for the kind words and the birthday wishes, too! You're always so kind to both of us, and a dear, wonderful friend, too. I know I can speak for both of us when I say we're so lucky to have you in our lives, too!

Aw, you flatter me, dear. But I'm real glad that this old greynose tomcat can make such a difference by just saying friendly things now and then >^_^< I really do feel lucky and privileged to be called a good friend by such wonderful ladies >^_^<
*chuckles* The work was fascinating for sure, and the first intern job I had in the houseplant growing direction was real good, but I'd rather forget about the times I had in the garden design direction, that was downright miserable. But ah well, that was thirty years ago so well in the past. And hey, at least I can now concentrate on what I really love doing, and that is writing. I'd never thought I'd make so much progress with a novel as I've been doing the last year, hee!
