I feel like this music can only be described as "Scrungly". I like it, yet completely lack the linguistical capability to say why. It's just fuckin' scrungly, my dude, a fraggon good time, an asbolute gramble sladge.

That being said, I think "Jade Lips" is my favourite.

agree with the other post that jade lips is the standout
big fan of very dry, hollow-sounding high mids-low treble synths like that
would guess theyre peaking around 1-2k?
the steel drum intro is cool, having a different and more organic texture playing the motif is a nice palette cleanser and the way the modulation comes in on it feels good
and the percussion sounds appropriately big and juicy throughout
though when it enters it seems in a bit of a funny "midground" place where its not mixed high enough to be as propulsive & driving as it is later, but is mixed high enough that the cockslap of the cool synth isnt quite as dramatic as it might be
only other note is that there isnt much of a change / contrast in the body of the track so i found my attention wandering even though i liked what was going on
like in the first track there was a gentler section that came about 2/3 the way through and that was quite effective

ill be honest, i kinda skimmed trracks 1 and 3
they were well put together but didnt grab me as much ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
final notes are just that the incidental melodic bits that come in at points on 1 could perhaps use a bit more reverb as they stand out a bit more than i imagine theyre intended to, and that later on in the same track the volume seems to rise up such that i had to turn it down a bit; if that was intentional, fair enough, but it might also be a mastering thing, idk

was pretty solid listen and i intend to check out some of ur other stuff :)

thanks a lot for the perspective on the mixing!! you raise some good points and i'll pay a bit more attention to areas like that on future productions.

i recently got a massive upgrade in the speaker department and ive been having an interesting time getting used to em. ive been making music for a long time, but ive only ever had shitty pc speakers to work from until nearly a month ago.

im glad you enjoyed and thanks for listening!!
