Log/Wood Grain Design Nail Art | Today we're joined with Steffi jasmine Fernandes who will be showing us how to make a simple yet effective log/wood grain design! 🪵 | By Naio Nails UK | Hi everyone and welcome back to the Nail Nails channel. I'm Steffi Fernandes and today I'm going to show you how to create these stunning wooden log effect nails. So I'm going to start off by painting a really thin layer of Moroccan tan all over the nail. Now this doesn't have to be you know super perfect. It's just a nice thin layer of base so the nail is not completely transparent. I'm going to cure that and I'm going to be using Moroccan tan, a bonsai, bear hug, and Sirius Black as well. I've already custom made a colour here. So it's quite dark chocolatey colour and I've mixed bonsai and serious black for that. And I'm going to be adding some detail with this tone here. So to be creating the wood effect look I'm going to be dotting just a few random spots all over the nail in different shades. Anybody and before we cure this, I'm going to go in with an ombre brush. I'm going to make sure the hairs are separated and I'm just going to stroke the brush downwards. And kind of mix all the colors but not fully. It needs to look abstract still. I'm just going to drag that color Make sure the whole layer is covered and I've curved some lines as well just to make it look slightly more natural. And want some happy. With the stripes all the lines I'm going to go ahead and give that a cure. Once that nail has been cured I'm going to go in with that darker shade that I've mixed up earlier and I'm going to try and create those rings that you see on a log. So I'm just going to paint them randomly. And make sure those semi circles or rings are not too perfect because let's face it, they don't look perfect on the tree. They're not super symmetrical. This kind of reminds me of a zebra pattern. Draw the stripes. I'm going to add a couple of more, you know, really thin lines just surrenderly. So, it blends with all the lines that we've created underneath Now before we cure that I'm going to clean my detailing brush and remove all that excess product from earlier on and all I'm going to do is just flick some lines upwards to kind of blend those ringlets with the pattern underneath And I'm going to push some of them downwards just like this. Once I'm happy with how this looks. I'm going to pop it into the lamp. That looks quite nice already. But once you put the matte top coat on you will look even better. Now that it's fully cured I'm just going to remove the tacky layer. Make sure there's no residue left. And I'm just going to paint a very thin layer. Of the ultra matte top coat. To encapsulate this whole design. Make sure I cut the edges. And remove the fluff. And I'll pop it into the lamb. And there you have it. The final look.
