Pompe Dressing for Dionysian Festival Greek Vase 350 bc. This famous vase is housed in the Metropolitan Museum in New York. It depicts a woman, Pompe, dressing for a Dionysion festival. Pompe represents the spirit of the festival or procession. The vase has a beautiful tre-foil mouth, and looks like an elegant pitcher for a banquet. It is made from terracotta, in a multicolor finish.
