King Cormac mac Airt ("Long Beard") who according to medieval Irish legend was the 115th High King of Ireland. One of the most famous of the ancient High Kings, he is said to have ruled from Tara for 40 years. He was famous for his wise, true, & generous judgments. Due to blindness in one eye he retired & turned his energies to the writing of laws.
