Super bloom is not a common occurrence in the South West. It may happen every 5 or even 10 years, when the western states get a lot of rain and the earth can soak up all the water, producing a mega bloom of desert flowers that sometimes cover the entire mountains. Last bloom I was able to photograph was in 2017. But back then I wasn't really shooting photography seriously, so I missed most of it.
