Today, I want to share with you some tips on lighting for female close-up shots. When shooting a commercial video, we often need to showcase the beauty of the actress's face, which can be challenging if they have textured skin or imperfect makeup. This is where creating a soft light source comes in handy. To achieve this, we can either reflect hard light, scatter it, or use a soft light source. Personally, I always have a light tube on hand, which provides a soft, flattering light perfect for close-ups.
