Much needed reminder that terms like zio and zog are terms mainly used by white supremists and neo nazis against all jews, including antizionist jews. Yes even the most "burn Israel to the ground" antizionist jew is considered a zio or zogbot, specifically a crypto (secret) one.

They don't suddenly stop being antisemitic slurs and become woke leftist terms just because you, a leftist, use them. You just become more of a white supremist, a neo nazi and antisemite.

The way that Bail will force every person in the galaxy to see the truth behind Palpatine’s plot, to acquit the Jedi of the guilt Palpatine and his hive-minded followers have placed on the Order, because he refuses to raise Leia—his daughter—in a world where her people were slaughtered mercilessly and barbarically—in a world where their genocide was not only brushed aside as a necessity of war but even applauded and celebrated.

He loves his daughter so much that he has to do this. Because what kind of father stands by while the memory of his daughter’s people are defamed and ridiculed and spat on?

But his fight will never be actualized.

To protect Leia, to protect Breha, to ensure that he can continue his fight against the Empire, he has to give up defending the Jedi’s legacy. And the galaxy will continue to believe Palpatine’s spoon-fed lies about Jedi treason and deception.

And Bail will die believing he ultimately failed his friends, his heroes, his daughter.

And he will die never knowing that one day the Empire will fall, and the Jedi will return, and his daughter will not only come to know the truth about her heritage but that she and her brother will train in the ways of their people, without fear of persecution.

If you search, “what does Passover celebrate?”

I get it if they’re separating Eretz Yisrael from Medinat Yisrael, but they cannot pretend there isn’t a fundamental, intrinsic connection to the land and its significance at all.

I mean…okay…but it’s hard to take this seriously when they have never cared for a moment about the hostages, and when they celebrate brutal terrorism as “resistance” yet have not spoken up for the actual Gazans risking their lives to protest against the oppression they endure from Hamas. liberation for everyone but Jewish people and the other innocent lives who are captive, starved, tortured, and held in chains in tunnels underground, and civilians suffering under the iron grip of terror regimes!

Your regular reminder that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a fierce defender of Jews and of Israel. He was a proud ally to the Jewish people in Israel and in Diaspora. And also your regular reminder that Jews were at the forefront of the Civil Rights Movement, and gave our lives for the cause of Civil Rights.

The Colombian Jewish community is reeling after an anti-Zionist rabbi was tapped to be the country’s director of religious affairs.
Richard Gamboa Ben-Eleazar was appointed to the post in Colombia’s Ministry of the Interior by Colombian President Gustavo Petro according to an announcement Gamboa made on X last Thursday.
He thanked Petro for “the opportunity to serve excluded and marginalized religious minorities from the Directorate of Religious Affairs, in the construction of a just and peaceful Colombia for all.”
But Colombia’s Jewish community does not recognize Gamboa as a rabbi, and Jewish groups have condemned him as an antisemite. He reportedly received his ordination from a Florida institution called the Esoteric Theological Seminary that advertises rabbinical degrees for $160. Gamboa’s LinkedIn displays an ordination certificate from the seminary.

Holy shit, this wild. Like, there are obviously legitimately ordained rabbis of all political persuasions, so the pro/anti-Israel aspect isn't super material on its own, but everything about this particular guy's "Jewish background" is fucking bananas.

First of all, there's the "seminary" from which he got his ordination. Some key points:

  • The "ordination" is something you outright purchase, there are no classes involved. It's basically akin to the Universal Life Church ordinations people get so they can legally officiate a friend's wedding.
  • You can be "ordained" to be anything. Per their website: "The clergy titles above [Esoteric Minister, Interfaith Minister, and Spiritual Minister] are the most popular, but we allow you to design your own. Here are a few of the other minister titles we’ve ordained over the years: Multi-Faith Minister, Healing Touch Minister, Ordained Rabbi, Non-Denominational Minister, Pastor, Gnostic Minister, Priest, Shaman, Reiki Healer, Ordained Celtic Druid Minister, Psychic Minister, Gothi or Gythia Norse clergy, Esoteric Priestess, Interfaith Chaplain, Pastoral Counseling Minister, etc. Don’t hesitate to design your own ministerial title. As long as it’s positive and the intent is to help humanity, it will be approved."
  • If you want to take classes from them (which again, not a requirement for the "ordinations"), it's via their "Esoteric Mystery School," the page for which indicates it's some kind of cross between Christianity, Gnosticism, Occultism, and... the Knights of Templar??? Genuinely, every section on there is insane. Some choice quotes:
  • "Our school has also been called the only non-egotistical Mystery School online." YEAH NO SHIT
  • "The School encompasses all the “secret” (a better word is hidden) and known teachings of the West, i.e. Indo-European and Mediterranean Occult*, with a healthy touch from our Indo-cousins (Vedanta hindu teachings), Tibetan Buddhism and Taoism. Our focus is esotericism (especially Esoteric Christianity), true gnostic teachings, hermeticism and the world’s wisdom traditions."
  • "All of our Orders are historically accurate, either meticulously and painstaking researched over at least a dozen years, or with traceable lineage which stretches back over centuries." AT LEAST A DOZEN YEARS

Also, these are the "Orders" they are talking about:

Absolute word-salad, I have no idea what any of this is supposed to mean, apart from that some of it seems borderline Nazi/Messianic in parts (Yeshua, Teutonic). So all in all, not great and not Jewish!

But that's not all! Gamboa is claiming he has a doctorate from the Hebrew Theological Seminary, but: "The doctoral diploma, the same one he displays in a picture on his website, features the coat of arms of Bolivia and a logo that bears the name of God in Hebrew surrounded by the words “Ministério Internacional Yahweh Shammah.” [...] there is a Ministério Internacional Yahweh Shammah in Angola and another in Contagem, Brazil. The latter's website has published a picture of a small ministry with a globe logo similar to that on Gamboa’s diploma. Both institutions are Evangelical Christian missions, not academic campuses." So at best it's a pseudo-messianic Christian degree and at worst it's complete photoshopped altogether. And there's more: Gamboa claims he is legitimate because he has the support of the "Unión Judía Liberal e Independiente de Colombia," which appears to just be a sock puppet account he's created himself (they don't have a real website, or an official email, everything links back to a FB page that includes a lot of photos of him at interfaith events).

He also believes in Khazar Theory (a white supremacist conspiracy theory) and has accused most Jews of being heretics.

In short, this guy is the ultimate Sham Yisrael; not just a fake rabbi, but the ultimate racist conman, and a danger to Colombia's Jews.

If athletes are allowed to compete, they should also be allowed to win.

Every single time I see a story where a trans athlete "blows out" the competition, their performance usually ends up not being quite as dominent as claimed.

When you look at the fastest 400m times in high school competition, it greatly adjusts the context.

In running, a second can be an eternity. Most world records are only a few tenths of a second apart. And this trans athlete is a full 7 seconds away from a record set by a cisgender high school runner.

According to the New York Post, 7 seconds is a blowout.

College runners are getting times under 50 seconds. And the world record is 47.60—a full 10 seconds faster.

This trans athlete can't help it if she is in a league with a bunch of slowpokes. She won a race. She is pretty fast in relation to her direct competition. But she is not some spectacular speed demon who will dominate women's running.

Her time wasn't even at scholarship level.

And the second place finisher wasn't even close to a "decent" time.

Also...

The vast majority of the world's top sprinters are of West African descent. Just to give you an idea of the statistics, every world record holder in the men's 100m dash since 1968 has been Black.

So they are basically cherry picking ideal circumstances to make a trans athlete look overpowered—as Portland only has a 5% Black population.

If this race happened in Atlanta instead of Portland, the trans runner probably would have won 10th place and this wouldn't be a news story.

How to create a moral panic 101.

We've got another "dominant" trans athlete going viral.

While it is true that Redmond Sullivan has had two first place finishes in tournaments since transitioning, if you look at her record, you might notice this isn't as dominant as claimed.

First I have to explain fencing ratings.

You have individual ratings A through E. The As are top fencers and Es (or unrated) fencers are the worst. The number after the rating is the year.

So a rating of A25 means you are a top level fencer in 2025.

Then you have event classes. They are also A through E but have an additional 1 through 4 difficulty variant.

The easiest tournament is E1.

It has 6 competitors and none of them have to be rated. So you are competing against poorly ranked people and have a much higher statistical chance of winning.

This is like playing basketball with all of your nerdiest friends and "accidentally" forgetting to invite Steve who is 6'4".

The hardest tournaments are A4.

This requires at least 64 competitors and must have at least 12 A-rated, 12 B-rated, and 12 C-rated fencers.

This is like being a 40 year old playing Halo against a hundred 12-year-olds all saying rude things about your mom while repeatedly headshotting you with ease.

If you look at Redmond's two first place finishes, they were in E1 and D1 competitions. (A D1 requires 15 people with four of them E-rated.)

She had a decent statistical chance of winning because the competitors were few and poorly rated.

If you look at her only A4 tournament, she placed 172nd.

I'm not sure I would call someone who placed 172nd particularly dominant.

She currently has a "D" rating overall.

When fencing in men's competitions, she was rated E. And she slightly improved to a D in women's competitions—though this is only with 3 months of data. She ended 2024 with an E rating in women's events. So maybe she improved to a D and a half.

No offense to Redmond, but she is not anywhere close to a top level fencer no matter which league she competes in.

Stephanie Turner, the kneeling transphobe, currently has an E rating and has never finished a year better than a D. By all accounts, she is evenly matched against Redmond and had a legit chance at winning the match. But it was an A2 tournament and she really had no chance of placing highly so I guess she figured this was a good opportunity to be a dipshit.

She is a coward who only took a stand when the stakes were lowest.

I'd also like to point out that Colin Rugg was quick to mention Redmond's first place finishes, but failed to mention that in the very tournament with this kneeling protest, she got 24th place.

It really seems like these trans athletes aren't trying to become dominant athletes by transitioning and they are just competing because they love it.

I mean, if I ever got 172nd place I'd probably hang up my rapier and just watch Zorro movies instead.

Payton McNabb had a genuinely tragic injury from a volleyball spike to the face. There is no denying that. When you watch the video of it, it's clear this was a brutal shot to the face.

But this tragedy was quickly capitalized on by the anti-trans propaganda machine. The context was significantly altered and an insidious narrative was constructed. Payton and her parents then jumped at the chance to monetize the incident.

You can hire Payton to dramatize her incident and repeat all of the common anti-trans talking points.

If you can't afford to hire her as a speaker, you can request to feature her documentary, "Kill Shot: How Payton McNabb Turned Tragedy into Triumph."

Possibly one of the most emotionally manipulative things I've seen in a while. After they discuss the injury you can just sense the coaching involved as they parrot every talking point.

Let's deconstruct exactly how Payton's injury was turned into propaganda.

First, all of the conservative news outlets reported on the incident. And they were sure to include details to give the impression this injury was severe, uncommon, and something only a trans girl could inflict.

The ball was going a blistering 70mph.

The trans girl was a towering 5'11".

Payton suffered a concussion.

The evil trans girl cackled in delight.

Of course, none of these details can be verified. The trans girl cannot tell her side of the story because if she identifies herself, it will put her in grave danger.

Let's investigate the claims a little deeper, shall we?

First, the ball going 70mph.

Not even remotely possible.

Elite level high school girl volleyball players can spike a ball between 40 and 50mph. Boys can manage between 50 and 60mph. So that is already debunked with a simple google search.

But I went a step further and analyzed the footage using a technique I learned from Adam Savage on Mythbusters. You take a known measurement (the width of the volleyball) and count how long it takes to travel a certain distance using the framerate. The ball went roughly 426 cm in 200 milliseconds.

I did a high and low estimate and the ball was going between 43 and 47mph, as best as I can tell.

Which is in the range of what a typical elite high school girl can achieve.

In fact, the world record for any woman volleyball player is around 70 mph. This was accomplished by professional player, Paola Egonu. She is 26 years old and 6'4".

The men's record is around 80 mph.

So they are saying this trans girl hit a volleyball as fast as the world record set by an adult professional athlete. And it was only 10mph slower than the fastest spike ever hit by anyone.

Okay, what about the trans girl being 5'11". That's pretty tall for a girl, right?

Not for volleyball players. In fact, it is not uncommon for high school volleyball teams to have players 6 feet and above. Many college and professional teams regularly have cis women that are 6'5".

Well, there is still the fact that the girl got a concussion.

You might be thinking... "That never happens. I mean, they are just high school kids playing a game. And a kid's game isn't dangerous. The *only* reason Payton was injured (as her parents imply) was because a trans girl was playing."

Did you know that women's volleyball has become so notorious for injuries that the NIH did an entire study documenting them?

Here are some highlights...

"In total, an estimated 214,302 female athletes aged 14 to 23 years were evaluated in EDs across the United States with volleyball-related injuries between 2012 and 2021. The ankle, head, and knee were most frequently injured, often involving strains/sprains, contusions, fractures, and concussions.

While sprains and strains were the most frequent injuries, head injuries accounted for the second most common diagnosis in both groups, suggesting that clinicians should maintain a high index of suspicion for concussion when evaluating players."

It would seem that head injuries are extremely common and there are literally thousands of cases of concussions.

Volleyball is fucking dangerous, yo.

This has to be a known danger that parents and players are aware of. They choose to take this risk despite the danger. They don't advocate for any kind of head protection or protective gear.

The reason Payton was so seriously injured was not because of a trans girl. It's because she was hit point blank in the face with a volleyball—just like thousands of others.

An event so common that when I was researching spike speeds and looking at highlight reels of Paola Egonu's world record spiking, one of the clips was of her bonking another player in the head.

The only reason this woman wasn't injured was because the ball had a chance to decelerate. In the first 400 cm of this spike, the ball is going so fast that the camera could not even see it. It just evaporated into a blur until it slowed down from air resistance. Just imagine if that woman was as close as Payton was.

Cis women are fully capable of causing these types of injuries.

To review...

They villainized a high school trans girl for hitting a ball only as fast as her cis counterparts.

They said she was a giant even though she is kinda short compared to other players.

They inferred only a trans girl could cause this type of injury even though it happens all the time.

They said she cackled like the Wicked Witch with no way to dispute the claim.

And then they gave her a bunch of money to repeat the narrative that they manufactured.

She even got to meet the president for selling her soul.

This is where anti-trans talking points come from. It is bad faith all the way down. Every claim is a lie or so twisted and out of context it might as well be a lie.

Is this really the side you want to be on?

Are these the bedfellows you want to align with?

Personal anecdote, but I heard about something similar happening with a swimming competition and a whiny cis-woman who was in the competition has now been hosted at my college as a speaker multiple times over it.

I'm gonna be real, I don't even remember her name, but one day I got an email from the "events" part of my college talking about some woman visiting after being requested by one of the clubs---Turning Point USA, an extreme right-wing group based around being fucking idiots and licking Trump's ass, was the group that requested it but I didn't know that at the time---so I take a look at it and the email reads like some pathetic middle-schooler's diary entry.

Basically this girl whines about how she was "forced" to compete against "biological male" [trans athlete's dead name] pretending to be a woman and he [she] had a "biological advantage" so her place was "stolen" from her by the "evil liberal agenda."

So I decide, out of pure morbid curiosity, to look up the competition that this idiot is talking about to find out what actually happened---because if there's anything you can trust MAGAts to do, it's lie---and wanna guess what actually happened?

They tied for fifth place.

Fifth FUCKING place.

Not even on the damn podium.

Like that's so fucking embarrassing, you're whining about your "place" being stolen when YOU BARELY EVEN RANK, YOU'RE NOT EVEN GOOD.

Notice how the athletes that are actually GOOD at what they do never complain about trans athletes having a "biological advantage" because they actually have talent and/or skill?

All these whiny ass transphobes are just shit athletes making careers out of bitching and crying because they can't make one out of anything else 💀 - and you can quote me on that.

I think people have this weird notion that Jedi are emotionless because they don't react to things the way normal people do, and it's because they've been trained to view every situation from an outside perspective without bias, and when they become angry, they don't hide from the anger. They find healthy ways to channel their anger.

It's not surprising that even the strongest minds will break when flung into a war orchestrated by their enemy. The Sith existed in silence for a thousand years after their last war against the Jedi. One Sith survived and created a legacy based solely on revenge against the Jedi. The Clone War was brutal.

Darth Sidious, manipulative and extremely patient, was able to lull the Jedi into the trap he'd set for them. None of them wanted to fight in the war, but the Force was clouded. Their path was clouded. They see through the Force and choose the light, but their paths became clouded as the choices they were forced to make became more and more questionable. I imagine it would be like looking at a map in a brightly lit room before getting hit by a storm of darkness with brief flashes of light passing through. Darth Sidious sent the Jedi to their own deaths because he knew the Jedi would stop at nothing to protect the galaxy from the Sith, but the people lost faith in the Jedi. Without the clone troopers, the Jedi would have been fighting that war alone, but the catch that came with using them was that the clones were ticking time bombs set to go off upon the execution of Order 66.

The Jedi trusted the clones. They trusted the clones with their lives. The clones considered the Jedi their best friends, and if you don't believe me, listen again to what Fives says to that cab driver on Coruscant when he's running from Palpatine. He was horrified to learn that they were created to kill the Jedi and he did everything in his power to try and tell the Jedi the truth, but his own brothers were hunting him down on Palpatine's orders. He died at the hands of his own brothers so none of them would find out the truth.

The only other clones he spoke to before he died were Kix and Rex.

We recognize that the clones were victims in this war, but it was Count Dooku who paid for them. The Jedi were also victims in this war. They were not the villains. They were never the villains. They did the best they could without any help at all from the rest of the galaxy. Palpatine put all the pressure directly on the Jedi to fight their way out of this one with an army of three million or so sleeper agents.

The Jedi life isn't for everyone. The galaxy is vast and the Jedi are but a few small blips devoting their lives to others when you look at the big picture. The numbers will show you that the Jedi were indeed overwhelmed because they were the ONLY THING standing between the Republic and the Empire.

What happened when the Jedi were wiped out?

idk how long this will last, but every time it’s the 7th again, I remember that day and what it was like seeing those images in real time, but even more than that I remember all the mutuals on my dash, people I considered friends, celebrating it and being so excited about it. I remember the very first post I saw from a longtime mutual saying “glory to the resistance” and “death to the colonizers” before I even knew what was going on. I remember the mutual who said she hoped everyone who was posting that it was a tragedy would burn in hell. this was before we even knew the extent of the deaths or the atrocities carried out. I remember my staunch feminist anti-rape mutual laughing at the photo of Naama Levy. I remember the kind, thoughtful mutual posting that she hoped Israel was obliterated. every 7th it comes back to me, the terror of that, the hurt and shock of it so deep that I didn’t even cry until the next day. and then how I had to start blocking people, suddenly realizing they’d cheer if that was me, their friend, if I’d been in a different land. if that was my broken body in the back of a truck.

it was like being an episode of the Twilight Zone, where you think you’re surrounded by a compassionate and likeminded community only to have them rip their faces off and reveal an eldritch cruelty lurking beneath. to have people you loved chase you out of town with pitchforks alight. to suddenly understand our ancestors and some measure of their fear and sorrow as their neighbors violently turned on them too, for centuries.

it’s something I can’t shake and maybe I never will. not only the loss of comfort, but the surreality of that horror, the scales falling from my eyes as I truly saw the world.

when I wrote this, it had been eight months.

it has now been eighteen months. 549 days. a year and a half.

b”h we have seen more hostages return home alive since then. we have also been through the profound grief of many of them murdered and sent home to be laid to rest.

and there are still hostages held captive, and there is still unending antisemitism, antipathy, denial.

it’s difficult to quantify all of it. sometimes, it’s impossible, and I realize I’ve put sorrows into separate boxes, to be looked at individually because it’s too much to perceive all at once.

every day for 18 months, the same prayer: bring them home.

Stopped clock moment, because Albanese is incredibly antisemitic, hiding it under the crumpled fig leaf of “antizionism”.

In the past, she has:

Routinely engaged in Holocaust Denial, Holocaust Inversion, and comparing Jews to Nazis.

Claimed that there is a Jewish conspiracy controlling the world.

Denied or minimized the 7/10 Massacre repeatedly, including evidence that Hamas itself published.

Claimed that the Gazan death toll is three times higher than what Hamas has published.

Claimed that the hostages that Israel managed to rescue were, in fact, voluntarily released by Hamas (ignoring the firefight that Hamas started in the middle of a crowd hoping to kill them before they got away)

Claimed that the Los Angeles Wildfires were connected to (i.e. the fault of) Israel.

Called Israelis cannibals who eat children.

Justified terrorist attacks on Israelis and Jews.

Claimed that America and Europe are controlled by “the Jewish lobby” and “the sense of guilt about the Holocaust”.

Baselessly claimed that Israel is committing a genocide, and claimed so repeatedly and emphatically, using her position to amplify her bias as loudly as possible.

When we say that the UN is institutionally antisemitic, she is a prime example of what we mean, not only that she was able to get the position she holds, but that she was able to keep it when her bias is so emphatically clear.

Regarding the cannibals thing, it wasn’t just limited to Israelis. The account she shared from said Israelis and Zionists were cannibals. Thereby implying that any Jew that was labeled as a “Zionist”, by whatever definition she and her ilk are using, is therefore a cannibal. Albanese has a long, long, long history of antisemitism as one of the requirements of being a UN rapporteur is being neutral and not letting personal bias into their assessments. It’s in the job description and she agreed to adhere to those requirements. But instead she’s been one of the most overt and blatant antisemites in the UN for years.

If you are a Christian that wants to host a Passover seder this year:

1) Don’t. It’s appropriative and gross.

2) Still don’t.

3) Jesus never participated in the type of seder that Jews have today. He lived (if he existed as described in your Christian holy books) during the Second Temple Era of Judaism, when worship was Temple-focused and ritual sacrifice was a key facet of the holiday. The modern seder takes most of its traditions from rabbinic Judaism, which was not the Judaism of Jesus.

4) Don’t do it. Don’t. No, there is no good reason for you to do it.

5) Given the Christian antisemitic violence traditionally inflicted on the Jews during this time of year (the lead up to Easter), it is EXTRA awful for Christians to try and appropriate our traditions related to Passover.

6) Don’t. Pesach is our holiday, and our religion is a semi-closed practice. Don’t appropriate our stuff. Don’t make our stuff about Jesus.

7) There are no exceptions to the rule that Christians should not host Passover seders.

Hope this helps.

Looks like it’s time to pull this out again.

@myfairkatiecat, I’m going to treat this as a learning opportunity, as best I can — and you’re young, so I’ll be nicer about it than I would be otherwise — because your tags are full of widespread misconceptions and inaccuracies related to Christianity, Judaism, and the history between our two peoples that should be reckoned with.

This would be them. It’s, uh…they’re sure something. Let’s spare folks dashes and dig into the problems here below the cut.

You’re telling me for decades Edward Said claimed to grow up in Palestine when he actually grew up in the richest neighborhood in Cairo?

And the pro-coexistence Jewish philosopher Said publicly accused of stealing “his” house after 1948 just rented the basement from Said’s uncle before Said’s aunt had the guy & his family evicted in 1942?

What a fucking grifter.

Said rolled American racism and European colonialism into one mélange of white oppression of darker-skinned peoples. He was not the only thinker to have forged this amalgam, but his unique further contribution was to represent “Orientals” as the epitome of the dark-skinned; Muslims as the modal Orientals; Arabs as the essential Muslims; and, finally, Palestinians as the ultimate Arabs. Abracadabra—Israel was transformed from a redemptive refuge from two thousand years of persecution to the very embodiment of white supremacy.

There was one final step in this progression: Edward Said as the emblematic Palestinian. From the time he came into the public eye, Said presented himself as an “exile” who had been born and raised in Jerusalem until forced from there at age twelve by the Jews. A sympathetic writer in the Guardian put it: “His evocation of his own experience of exile has led many of his readers in the west to see him as the embodiment of the Palestinian tragedy.” Indeed, he wrote and narrated a 1998 BBC documentary, In Search of Palestine, which presented his personal story as a microcosm of this ongoing Nakba (or catastrophe, as Palestinians call the birth of Israel).

But in September 1999, Commentary published an investigative article by Justus Reid Weiner presenting evidence that Said had largely falsified his background. A trove of documents showed that until he moved to the United States to attend prep school in 1951, Said had resided his entire life in Cairo, not Palestine. A few months later, Said published his autobiography, which confirmed this charge without acknowledging or making any attempt to explain the earlier contrary claims that he had made in discussing his background.

In reaction to the exposé, Said and several of his supporters unleashed a ferocious assault on Weiner. Said sneered that “because he is relatively unknown, Weiner tries to make a name for himself by attacking a better known person’s reputation.” And eleven ideological soul mates of Said’s, styling themselves “The Arab-Jewish Peace Group,” co-signed a letter to the editor that likened Weiner’s article to “deny[ing] the Holocaust.”

Much of the debate between Weiner and Said revolved around the house in which Said was born and that viewers of his BBC documentary were given to understand was the home where he had grown up. Weiner showed from tax and land registry documents that the house never belonged to Said’s father but rather to his aunt. In his rebuttal, Said had written somewhat implausibly: “The family house was indeed a family house in the Arab sense,” meaning that in the eyes of the extended family it belonged to them all even if the official records showed it to be the property only of Edward’s aunt and her offspring.

Said’s cynical modus operandi was to stop short, where possible, of telling an outright lie while deliberately leaving a false impression. Even so, he did not always avoid crossing the line or dancing so close to it that whether his words should be labeled a lie or merely a deception amounted to a difference without a distinction. “I have never claimed to have been made a refugee, but rather that my extended family . . . in fact was,” he wrote in response to Weiner. But what was a reader supposed to have inferred from his book, The Pen and the Sword, where he had spoken of his “recollections of . . . the first twelve or thirteen years of my life before I left Palestine?” Or from the article, in the London Review of Books, where he had written: “I was born in Jerusalem and spent most of my formative years there and, after 1948, when my entire family became refugees, in Egypt?”

It may be that Said, as he claimed, “scrupulously” recounted his life in his autobiography where at last the true facts of his education and residence emerge. But, as his critics continued to ask, does finally telling his story truthfully wipe away twenty years of lying about it? In the end, Said downplayed the matter. In a late interview with the New York Times he said: “I don’t think it’s that important, in any case. . . . I never have represented my case as the issue to be treated. I’ve represented the case of my people.”

What was important, however, was the light shed on Said’s disingenuous and misleading methods, becasue they also turn out to be the foundation of his scholarly work. The intellectual deceit was especially obvious in his most important book, Orientalism. Its central idea is that Western imperial conquest of Asia and North Africa was entwined with the study and depiction of the native societies, which inevitably entailed misrepresenting and denigrating them. Said explained: “Knowledge of subject races or Orientals is what makes their management easy and profitable; knowledge gives power, more power requires more knowledge, and so on in an increasingly profitable dialectic of information and control.”

Welp, they're now saying the Canaan dog was invented by colonizers?

they have been since before 2023, they're just big mad it's not called the palestine dog and that Jews are calling things biblical names since christians and Jews should be cleansed from the levant of course let alone have frivolities like pet dogs

"Inuit relationships to their dogs are culturally different than those in Palestine" YEAH because in Palestine, they fucking murder dogs in the street.

One of the things that's honestly so fascinating--sociologically speaking--is how Hamas and the rest of their Islamist allies have managed to turn their "Pro-Palestine" cultists and useful idiots into full-on Arab Supremacist Fascists.

Quoting Umberto Eco's 14 Common Features Of Fascism, with my comments as addendum:

  1. The cult of tradition. “One has only to look at the syllabus of every fascist movement to find the major traditionalist thinkers. The Nazi gnosis was nourished by traditionalist, syncretistic, occult elements.” In the Hamasnik cult, this is exemplified by the claims of an ancient--prehistoric, even!--continuity and history of Palestine, the "well, this is their culture!" promotion of misogyny and sexism, as with the Taliban and Hamas, and, of course, the "Blood and Soil" rhetoric we see being promoted as part of the idealized "Palestinian connection to the land".
  2. The rejection of modernism. “The Enlightenment, the Age of Reason, is seen as the beginning of modern depravity. In this sense Ur-Fascism can be defined as irrationalism.” See all of the "anti-Western" outlooks from the Hamasnik crowd, plus all of the rejections of science and documented history in favor of a simplified propaganda narrative.
  3. The cult of action for action’s sake. “Action being beautiful in itself, it must be taken before, or without, any previous reflection. Thinking is a form of emasculation.” See all of the pointless protests, where not only is what is being demanded pointless, but in many cases there is no causal link between their actions and what they supposedly wish to accomplish, and often are actively harmful to their cause. The man who climbed up on London architecture the other month "to bring awareness to the Palestinian cause" did nothing to help them, but he certainly took action!
  4. Disagreement is treason. “The critical spirit makes distinctions, and to distinguish is a sign of modernism. In modern culture the scientific community praises disagreement as a way to improve knowledge.” See how any Palestinian peace activist is treated for an easy example of this one.
  5. Fear of difference. “The first appeal of a fascist or prematurely fascist movement is an appeal against the intruders. Thus Ur-Fascism is racist by definition.” Note how "Zionist" has been turned into a pejorative, and "Zio", a slur coined by the KKK, is easily on the lips of these "activists".
  6. Appeal to social frustration. “One of the most typical features of the historical fascism was the appeal to a frustrated middle class, a class suffering from an economic crisis or feelings of political humiliation, and frightened by the pressure of lower social groups.” See the common statements of "We don't want two state, we want all '48!" and a general refusal to accept that there's a status quo where Israel isn't going anywhere and peace is necessary; instead, there's an attitude of frustration that they want this outcome, and they're going to get it!
  7. The obsession with a plot. “Thus at the root of the Ur-Fascist psychology there is the obsession with a plot, possibly an international one. The followers must feel besieged.” The sheer amount of "Zionists control the government/media/economy/etc" conspiracism makes this almost too easy.
  8. The enemy is both strong and weak. “By a continuous shifting of rhetorical focus, the enemies are at the same time too strong and too weak.” But at the same time as "Zionists control the world", they're also apparently readily intimidated and rebuffed by a bunch of ineffectual and over-privileged college students.
  9. Pacifism is trafficking with the enemy. “For Ur-Fascism there is no struggle for life but, rather, life is lived for struggle.” Again, see the treatment any Palestinian working for a two-state solution for an easy example of this one.
  10. Contempt for the weak. “Elitism is a typical aspect of any reactionary ideology.” This one is interesting, because you do see it... but not in the usual form, because it's become contempt for anyone who isn't willing to show the "strength" of committing full-fledged to their belief system and sacrifice themselves in its service. See, for example, the adoption and twisting of "none of us are free until all of us are free", where activists for other causes that can actually do measurable good are dismissed or condemned for "not standing with Palestine".
  11. Everybody is educated to become a hero. “In Ur-Fascist ideology, heroism is the norm. This cult of heroism is strictly linked with the cult of death.” Everyone is expected to sacrifice themselves for the Uber-Cause, Palestine, and even engage in "activism" when bed-bound.
  12. Machismo and weaponry. “Machismo implies both disdain for women and intolerance and condemnation of nonstandard sexual habits, from chastity to homosexuality.” This one is fascinating, because you do have "Queers For Palestine" and other such Turkeys-For-Thanksgiving groups, but at the same time, watch how they treat other queers who don't get in line with their ideology. Also, note how these people actively celebrate and support rapists from Hamas.
  13. Selective populism. “There is in our future a TV or Internet populism, in which the emotional response of a selected group of citizens can be presented and accepted as the Voice of the People.” And the select group of citizens are "a small fraction of coddled students at elite universities" and "a group of fanatical militants".
  14. Ur-Fascism speaks Newspeak. “All the Nazi or Fascist schoolbooks made use of an impoverished vocabulary, and an elementary syntax, in order to limit the instruments for complex and critical reasoning.”

I'm just going to make a separate list here:

  • War becomes Genocide.
  • Humanitarian Aid becomes Manufactured Famine.
  • Borders become Concentration camp walls.
  • Suicide bombers become heroes.
  • Rape becomes Resistance.
  • Civilian Evacuation becomes Ethnic Cleansing
  • Unwilling Human Shields become Brave Martyrs
  • Indoctrinated Child Soldiers become Adorable Spirit Of Resistance or Murder
  • People returning to their native homeland become Colonizers
  • Hostages become Prisoners of War
  • Anti-Rocket Defense becomes a Tool of Genocide
  • Surrender becomes Ceasefire
  • Keeping terrorists away from civilians becomes Apartheid
  • Civilians become Acceptable Targets

And more. (I edited an earlier version of this post that had a graphic I added because I was tired and it contained a lot of what I was going for, but it was pointed out that it had some... issues. So it's gone and this list is added)

So with all of that said, I just find it fascinating (in the same way that, say, a weapon or a dangerous chemical or the like is fascinating) how a bunch of ostensible progressives and Leftists have been conditioned and propagandized into becoming Arab Supremacist Fascists, when the majority of them are not Arab. Many are, in fact, from groups and classes that would be marginalized or actively persecuted if the very Islamists they support gained power over them. At least White Supremacists make sense in a way--they're acting in their own perceived self-interest and self-promotion. But these people? The only thing that's in it for them is the sense of moral superiority and the ability to be as bigoted as they want to against Jews.

And the only thing that I can say to that is that really gives a sense of the seductiveness of bigotry.
