The funniest original Star Trek scene to date is from The Thalion Web where Spock and Bones think Kirk has been killed and are arguing over the incredibly dangerous situation the Enterprise is currently in and Bones is thiiiiiis close to saying Spock is unfit for duty out of spite and Spock just dared him to do it and then they put in a little recorded message of Kirk's last order that he told them to watch if he ever dies and in it Kirk says "Since you're watching this I assume I'm dead and Enterprise is in terrible danger. And that you two are locked in mortal combat."
Kirk using the words MORTAL COMBAT and then saying EXACTLY the right words to make those two stop fighting is hilarious in and of itself.
But then THEY LIE ABOUT LISTENING TO THE MESSAGE. Once he's back they're like "what message, oh that, we didn't have time for that". These dorks.
No matter how dangerous the machines were, they had one weak spot—their lack of stealth. They couldn't infiltrate human camps and strike from behind. The robots were quickly identified, no matter how humanoid Skynet tried to make them. But then the T-800 terminators appeared...

dc kinda sucked all the life out of Batman and Catwoman's relationship... during her debut she was this weird little lady with an attitude, she was fighty but secretly liked Bruce and Bruce secretly liked her back, often letting her go free even though she was out stealing stuff, in 66 She would actively persue him, flirting with him aggressively while Bruce tried to be chaste and fiddled with his cape and such, nowadays tho.... she's still Catwoman, but she's not written like a cat anymore personality wise really, and tbh I think that's why her appearance in the Batman was an outlier, she wasn't as unhinged as she used to be, but you can still feel that cat-like distance and playfulness which I think really built some chemistry between the two
basically "Don't Tell me what to do" vs "I wanna play with you like a toy" vs "I like you but I'm not gonna make it obvious"
then there's how she's written in comics right now and like sure, she has history and lore and a recognizable way of acting but it's still just.... sexy lady in spandex a lot of the time, it's not distinct anymore

it's so funny when people say they've been following the development of these characters for years when it's only been 7 months LOL. it does feel like it's been forever
