My secret weapon for creating great looking cards without a lot of supplies is a great paper punch!    Punch randomly on the cardstock layer with your punch.  DO NOT punch the corners.  You want those to be intact, so your card has clean lines.    Learn to use your punches to create a faux embossed background, a layer around the greeting that perfectly fits and decorate the inside!
