Chocolate Almond Puff Pastry Braid. 🥐 Sweet, buttery, extra flaky. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
1hr · 4 servings Ingredients: • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry • 2 Tbs. heavy cream • 12 oz. chocolate hazelnut spread • 1/3 cup sliced almonds • Powdered sugar, for garnish Instructions: • Preheat oven to 400°F. • Thaw puff pastry dough per instructions on the package. • Visually divide the dough into three vertically equal sections. Use a pastry knife to cut and make 10 equal strips on both sides of the center. Cut at an angle up. (See video for reference.) • Remove the first flaps from the top and bottom cuts on both sides. (See video for reference.) • Spread the chocolate evenly onto the center strip of the puff pastry, leaving a small margin around the edges. • Fold the top middle piece down.
