A unique looking drawstring bag made out of Kantha fabric. Because the fabric is hand stitched, there may be variations of stitching and fabric making each piece one of a kind. Kantha is also considered vintage fabric. This would be perfect for a small project like english paper piecing, hand embroidery or knitting. This bag is lined with hand blocked fabric. This bag is a modern take on the Japanese Komebukuro, a traditional pouch used in Japan to carry rice offerings to the temple or to hold gifts. Each bag were hand sewn in a patchwork style and made with a mix of whatever fabric was leftover in the home. I have used colorful Kantha fabric to create this pouch. Each bag I make is unique and one of a kind.
