Leather joining techniques

Stitching leather by hand is one of many options available when considering the most appropriate way to join two or more pieces of leather. Traditionally, if stitching, leatherworkers would opt for a technique known as 'Saddle Stitching'. A good saddle stitch, perfectly executed, will never unravel.

You want to make a leather bag or wallet, but everything you try leaves you with a bulky product at the end of it; it is likely because you’re not thinning out your material before you join or fold it.
