I work in the city, so this spot is not very far off and makes for the perfect stop to end the day 🫶🏼 📍Devil’s Slide, Pacifica (View from Devils Bunker) PRO TIP: no one tells you this, but I will, if you want the signature Devils Slide view, don’t follow google maps, type “Devil’s Bunker” instead and park at the South Parking lot! Why is the bunker abandoned? The bunker was originally built during World War II as a triangulation and observing station. When in service, a watcher, with a set of binoculars would keep watch out at sea and if they spotted any enemy ships they simply radioed in defense to sink these ships! 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 🥾 no hike necessary- but be sure to park at the South Parking lot! 🅿️ the south parking lot has two sections, and is the larger lot compared to the north parking lot 🚗 people usually end up leaving right when the light gets good- so if you don’t find parking just wait and I’m sure you will!
