1.9M views · 36K reactions | Mini Resin Flower Bowls with Mermaid Colors | These mini resin bowls are so cute!!! | By Mixed Media Girl | Hey, guys. Mixed Media Girl here. So, I have been making a lot of resin bowls big ones and someone suggested that I make some little mini bowls like trinket bowls. So, that's what I'm doing today. I'm using some flower coaster molds. These are the same ones as the big flower mold that I have, just a smaller size and I'm using a variety of alcohol inks here. I'm going for mermaid colors again. So, I have got some parp some blue, some teal, and the two colors which I'm kind of sprinkling on here which is one blue and one purple. Those are both metallic. The rest are not. I'm using primarily ranger inks here because I found that this works the best for this technique and two of these are pinata though and that's this gold and the white that I'm using and those are just to add some extra shine and to lighten them up. I'm using mix Media Girl Artist Resin which I mixed prior to making my design with the alcohol inks and then I'm just pouring it very slowly in the middle of the mold now an important note on this when you're doing a bowl you do not want to fill the mold up all the way because I know it will be too thick and it'll be easier for it to crack possibly while it's drying. You want it to be a bit thinner and a little more pliable. So I'm filling this up about two thirds of the way. Once I filled them up spritz them with some 91% ice robe alcohol and then that's it just let it sit I came back about six hours later and that will depend on your resin and the temperature in your work space so you might need a little longer you might need a little bit less I usually start checking them after about four hours they should be very easy to demold and very flexible but they should not be sticky and then took some mini plastic bowls that I got from Amazon these are the perfect size it seems like and I pressed my coasters down into it to essentially mold it into a little mini bowl now with how snug the pieces were in the bowl I did not feel the need to weigh it down with anything while it was drying I felt pretty secure in the fact that it would stay in that bowl and not pop out if you have any doubts though weigh it down with something heavier and otherwise just let it cure so I came back the next day and these are pretty pliable plastic bowls. Um so I kind of just squeezed them a little bit to get it to demold and then flipped it upside down and they popped pretty easily out and here's how they look up close. So these are probably I'd say about an inch and a half or so deep. You could use a different bowl as a mold and get deeper ones but I love these. Hope you guys enjoyed this. And I will see you all next time.
