"Fear itself" means being scared without a real reason. Roosevelt said we only need to worry about feeling scared, not actual dangers. I love how he encouraged people during tough times, like the Great Depression. He believed if we can control our fear, we can overcome challenges more easily and that often times it our fear that holds us back.
