Sleeping Bag Size and TOG Charts

The sleeping bag must be suitable for the child's body measurements. If it is too big, your baby can slip into it and in the worst case their head will be covered over. In addition, the child will cool down quickly in a sleeping bag that is too big. A sleeping bag that is too small carries the risk of constriction. Our Slumbersac sleeping bags are available in six different sizes from 48cm for newborns up to 140cm for children from six to ten years and in four different TOG sizes.

Our Slumbersac Summer Tog chart suggests what your baby should wear during the warmer months of the year, depending on the temperature and weight of the bag. These are guidelines only - you should always check your baby to make sure they don’t overheat. Remember it is better to be cool than hot and it is quite normal for the baby’s hands and arms to be cool. Feel the nape of your baby’s neck – if it is damp then your baby might be too warm.
